And the dairy argument is a canard. The 200% tariff that gets scare-quoted only kicks in at an extremely high level of trade. A level that has never - NEVER - been met. Canada imports lots of US dairy products (more than maybe we should) so this is a ludicrous argument.
The other thing the Secretary needs to recognize is that even when US products are on shelves- that's where they stay! Because Canadians won't buy them. And this NOT a govt campaign. This is spontaneous, grassroots, and likely permanent.
Sorry, but it's a perfectly acceptable English phrase, just a bit antique. For instance, iirc the King James Version of the Bible has Jesus saying "I will make you fishers of men".
To quote a Mike Myers character, "How about No?"
To quote Mike Myers, albeit in character, "How about No?"
I wonder if there's a way it can be inflicted on the UCP?
I really like this use of Harris' aphorism. Very clever and apt!
Anyone who will throw down that much of a pun deserves some custom, for sure!
It's tough being a Danton when there are Robespierres about....
One has been recorded. Dude bodysurfing at a beach with seals. Orca hit him from underneath, stopped bite about 1/4 in, followed him to the beach almost apologetically.....really wasn't the whales fault.
One of several reasons I left the other site was the relentless onslaught of cam 'artistes'...
IKR? I thought it was just me....
You know what, Canada should start funding the Blexit lunatics. Fair is fair, eh?
Just returning to the Canadian politics factory default setting of Red Tory/Blue Liberal (depending on one's preferences).
I thought it was an adaptation of "River of Teeth" by Sarah Gailey. Which would be cool...
IIRC, the original versions were made using cockpit sections from actual ME-109's. So you're kind of driving a little piece of aviation history. I can-t imagine the crash test results are impressive, though....
Everything is Jacobins vs the Girondins.
Cutting back on the wilful arson of relationships with former allies might be something the US might try....
Pity the poor grunts who have to train in that thing in Fort Drum in winter, or Alaska......much less using it in combat.
The US regime may not believe in climate change. But the actuaries sure do....
I have seen flurries at Wasaga on the Victoria day long weekend in May...so mid-April seems like a pretty good deal in comparison!
Yes, please! Let's have some of that!
Telling indeed. Public advocacy of this concept as a good thing is a useful tell (sorry, couldn't resist) that the person recommending that we recognize the power of their argument is a partisan engaged in motivated reasoning, and who should therefore be disregarded.
It's good luck. So they say.
Did anyone ask him about that? Or did they chicken out on the usual Q&A session?
Well, there's a guy at a small plane airport north of Toronto with a replica SE-5a......not a Camel, but a contemporary!
'Interrupter gear', obviously. Blasted autocorrect....
There's a fine old BBC series called "Wings" that uses reproduction BE2c's as a vehicle for the transition from unarmed to handguns to off- angle Lewis guns and deflectors to interrupted gear. Many dashing young aviators are harmed in this process.
It appears AI has a hard time with the numbers of those pesky human appendages and digits.....
