Yes, I do, but I think they sort of had to move their plot along with Dorothy's story. The second she arrives in Oz, one of the main characters dies. And a couple others have their plot tied into what Dorothy is doing.
There would be some epic backstory on how she lost her eye.
I read the book first, so that might have something to do with it, but I do prefer the book. The musical/movie kind of breezes by things too quickly and tries to tie too many things/characters into the Wizard of Oz that weren't there in the book. The book is darker and has more spiritual elements.
Oz is an incredibly rich and inviting fantasy world. It definitely deserves more fans.
Disney did Return to Oz, so at least there's some connection there. Otherwise, I'm stumped.
