I was looking at the Chiikawa x Casetify collaboration and abandoned my cart… today my phone screen cracked AND my Chiikawa griptok (that I got in Korea) broke. LIKE DUDE, CHILL.

I desperately need to visit the NAIL MALL in Korea though. Top of my priority list for my next trip for sure.

Watching videos of nail tech hauls at NAIL TAT and Donki in JP made me realize how my mind wasn't on work at all on vacation. I still can't believe I didn't visit a single nail supply store... and that the only thing I brought was 2 mag gel polishes on the day I was leaving Japan.

Anyways, fueled up on an Alani energy drink so time to tackle some spring cleaning. Hoping to reorganize my skincare drawer of new products that I picked up in Japan and Korea recently and see if there's anything I can replace/change out. :3

How did I ever think I could just stay home to “save money”? I go a couple days without buying something and I’m itching to get myself a little “treat”. lol

I guess there’s the supply chain issue with the actual coffee beans itself too. UGH.

I brought a Nepresso machine last year to “save money and buy less coffee outside” but the cost of Nepresso capsules nowadays is a little ridiculous. I can only assume they increased their price to reflect the future price of aluminum. (I could never pay $2/capsule for their LE Hawaiian Kona blend)

No way, apparently if you do miles + cash, the miles are devalued at 0.7 cent instead and to get the best rate.. you need to save enough to book an entire flight. W T F I might save enough after 15 years lol

Googling how much United miles are worth shows me 1.2 cent per mile… so why am I barely getting $85 for 12,150 miles? :(

She showed me a photo of the perfume to confirm and yup, that’s the one. Then she showed me the photo of the youtuber that made it. Tell me how I immediately recognized her… she used to be a loyal client at my salon?!! What the heck. Small world.

Funny story. I complimented my client’s perfume and mentioned it smells like amber and caramel… and she showed me the perfume but I immediately forgot the brand but remembered it was made by a YouTuber. I mentioned the perfume to another client and she knew exactly what I was talking about?

Hate when my W-2s are finally available but I have to wait for all my 1099s to be ready to file. Guess SPY being slow to report data is really delaying the process at the moment.

They got back to me and I should be expecting the replacement bottle in the next few days. Phew.

Placed an order of ALT fragrance as gifts for my aunties and one of the bottles arrived with lint floating in it. Quality check whereeee? I emailed them hoping for a replacement because I’m too embarrassed to gift something that is defective… ㅠㅠ

Now I’m glad I purchased 6 boxes of the Traditional Medicinal organic spearmint tea when they were on sale because Target just increased their prices AGAIN. I love that brand but this will be my last batch.

The holistic med girlies were onto something when they said raspberry leaf tea for menstrual pain and spearmint tea for hormonal acne. When I remember to drink it consistently for weeks, my skin is at its all time best and I experience zero cramps.

I said I was done spending *more* money on gel polish but there’s this yogurt nails set with all the pretty pink magnetic gels.. and I mean Valentine Day is coming up. (MakeN ships free over $500 so I guess I’ll be adding more sets to my cart too 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Just deactivated and deleted my TikTok account and app. This whole ban and then reinstatement thing has been shady as hell and now I see what’s happening. The amount of SNS platforms with actual free speech has been reduced to something you can count on one hand.

I don’t even watch basketball… but Yuki Kawamura got me watching 20 mins of NBA reels. His game play and spatial awareness is literally insane; he makes basketball actually look fun.

I’ve never heard of any of those before so I’ll have to check them out too, maybe a combination of different learning platforms would be beneficial. A friend recommended Pimsleur but I couldn’t get into it ;;; though I could use plenty of extra help on the speaking portion.

I’m on Duolingo so the lessons I’m learning are so random at time (like when am I going to need to know how to say “no, the doctor isn’t 4 years old” lol). Where/how are you learning Japanese?

Learning Japanese has been fun because suddenly I’m able to read phone contacts (got excited when I saw the kanji for dad/父), names/places and random subtitles in anime. I wish I was more diligent when I was younger.

My neighbor’s house was on fire last week (for unknown reasons) and it really made me think about what’s important in life. I think this weekend I’ll sit down and make a list of what I can’t live without. This will hopefully be the year I learn how to live more minimally.

Like tell me how I was all gung-ho about future prospects and went all in for my Roth contributions and then immediately it drops. I know it always picks back up but I’m only human, seeing my money disappear hurtsss.
