On 20 February, #Poland withdrawal from the Mine Ban Treaty took legal effect.

The Norms In Motion Project explores how communities in South Thailand and Cambodia develop their own practices of civilian self-protection and transitional justice, and how these ideas travel on to reshape regional and international understandings of protection and accountability.
The obligation to protect civilians from the devastating effects of war, and the duty to hold perpetrators accountable for human rights violations have solidified as international norms. Yet global responses have often proved inadequate due to their top-down and decontextualized approaches.
