It sounds fantastic, I found a new appreciation of birds when we moved to Bulgaria, we have a massive migration route right above the house, White and Black Storks, Pelicans and Spoonbills along with the raptor migration too.
Pink footed geese are lovely.

Following my previous post of a Bee eater in my garden I thought I'd share these. This was a juvenile found injured in a friend's garden, we contacted the local wildlife rescue and they took it to be rehabilitated.
It just hopped on my arm!!

They really are special aren't they?
There is a big colony not far from where I live in Bulgaria so we get them in the garden all of the summer.
Our garden is planted to attract as much wildlife as possible so they love it.

European bee eater, a brightly coloured bird with rustic red head and yellow orange back, bright blue breast and green flashes to its wings. It is a member of the kingfisher family and gets its name from its diet of insects.
