If you want to keep it cheap and simple, look for a Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 7 or later on EBay. I use a Gen 7 with Linux and it runs great. They will run you under $400 for decent specs.

I doubt you’ll see many issues since it runs decently on the Steam Deck.
This January I found a vulnerability in the DS2 server code that lets a malicious user crash a player, even without connecting to them.
BA 2.06 fixes this issue, it's recommended you download it if you want to play online.

What about using a password manager that houses your Passkey? For example Bitwarden houses a lot of my passkeys and has browser extensions.
Verizon/Visible did the same thing though. So you really can’t recommend any carrier at this point. www.npr.org/2025/05/19/n...
This is a view from the surface of Comet 67P.
The busy particles in the foreground are cosmic rays or bits of dust and ice.
The dots moving in the background are stars.
They won’t even look for spyware probably
They are the best for not having to flash custom ROMS and using Linux. Just make sure you have backups, that aren’t just iCloud. The one thing I always try to recommend.
I’m a big fan of the Advanced Data Protection functionality. All of my Apple based services are E2EE outside of calendar, mail and contacts but I use a separate mail client anyway. Best way to get privacy on a mainstream OS without having to flash a custom ROM.
Sadly iOS browsers all run WebKit and the only one that allows extensions is Safari. I use Wipr for my adblocking and also have NextDNS for my blocking at the DNS level.
Unfortunately no. Some carriers have not adopted the standard since Android to Android does not use the same RCS standard as Android to iPhone. One is carrier dependent and the other is googles own development.
They are all bad. Would recommend installing GrapheneOS on Pixel as the ultimate slap in the face to Google.
Valve confirms a public beta of SteamOS is coming as 'SteamOS expands beyond Steam Deck'

#BREAKING: The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the FCC cannot regulate broadband Internet service providers as telecommunications providers, but must classify them as "information service providers," effectively striking down Net Neutrality.
Lookup Advanced Data Protection, very nice feature for iOS that offers E2EE for most services and apps
If they ever move out of the kernel and into user space we will hopefully see the anti cheat woes go away.
Quite a bit do. Check out protondb.com you can search the game you want to play and it will give you real reviews from people who have played it on Linux desktop, SteamDeck and ChromeOS
Lego Coruscant Gunship build. Red and white
Finished up this bad boy. First build in probably over a decade.
a golden retriever sits smiling in the front passenger seat of a car. the window is rolled down just a couple of inches. blue skies with puffy clouds and some happy little trees are in the background. it’s a totally normal photo of a golden in a car, minus the fact that the tongue sticking out of her mouth is bright blue.
you’re peering down into a styrofoam cup that was in a car’s cupholder. it is mostly empty but has some blue slushie way down at the bottom with a mysteriously tongue-shaped hole carved through the ice in one spot. the back of a golden retriever’s head is visible in the upper right corner of the photo. the dog may or may not be avoiding eye contact.
This is Lily. She's been accused of drinking her mom's slushie. Will not be taking any questions at this time. 14/10
Do you mind posting specs of the machine?
I feel like we really need a reboot of the Merlin show from BBC. That show felt like it was ahead of the times at points
What keyboard is that? Feel like I’ve seen a few of those around recently
Recommendations on a distro other than Mint?

Based off other replies, for Minecraft check out Prism Launcher. I use that even for my Windows desktop and it supports mods, tested on Steam Deck.
For other games that you play I highly recommend checking out protondb.com it has real reviews from people on games and their playability.
Once Asahi becomes more polished, I’ll probably move from my Thinkpad to Mac
❗️Breach Alert: I am sorry to do this to you on a Saturday, but I am hearing from MULTIPLE SOURCES that Linux source code has been stolen and is being offered online.
I’m loving replaying all of the Souls games and discovering new things. #darksouls
