So what brought this improbable duo together? The answer is under your feet. In this episode, how a geothermal pilot project in Massachusetts is bringing together unlikely alliances that might be key to our clean energy future.

Hi friends, @jenlowe.bsky.social and I are starting a new project called curiousdelivery.com! It's a monthly mail art club. Picture it as an art exhibition that arrives at your door every month. Subscribe, feed that curiosity!
The wonderful and brilliant Nick Pagee’s photo date app!
Ooooooh. I’ve had a few endless printing ideas. This could be the catalyst …
Really big release of fabric.graphics
Fabric is now an embeddable swift package, allowing you to author graphs procedurally, load & render them in your own metal apps. Plus tons of UI improvements, new nodes, & fixes.
This is getting real dope:

That would be incredible!!
And thank you for your amazing work.
It’s really a treat to dive into that world!
And Terra Ignota is really something only a few could pull off. Really fantastic!
Yeah!
It’s a pretty good list for this year with Jack Vance thrown in the middle.
You should join the @alzabosoup.bsky.social discord all of the book suggestions there are super good. It’s become my go to for book recommendations.
My favorite Gene Wolfe podcast @alzabosoup.bsky.social is doing a book club for this year which starts with @adapalmer.bsky.social Terra Ignota series and ends with Gormenghast.
Really impressed with the ambition and massive scope of Ada’s work - I’m hooked!

Plottimation UI screenshot
I'm pleased to announce #Plottimation 1.0, a free online tool for automatically generating animated GIFs from casual photos of #penplotter frame-sheets!
Live software: golanlevin.github.io/plottimation/
Source code: github.com/golanlevin/p...
Demo video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOXB...
#Plottimation automatically extracts and aligns frames from frame-sheets, even from casual photographs, as long as the frame boundaries are indicated with small + crosses.
Pleased to announce many excellent new additions to my archive of procedural single-stroke fonts for #p5js and #plotterArt — including ISO-3098; two kanji/hanzi fonts, each with 4K+ glyphs; Licia He's new DearPlotter font; and Jongmin Kim's variable LeonSans stroke font: github.com/golanlevin/p...
Take ED Augur down a few levels and bump Fulgor up and that’s pretty close to my list. Oh and throw ED Libra off a bridge! Haha
Wow! Haven’t read that one of his before. But Viriconium ( especially books 2 & 3 ) have some of the most beautiful prose I’ve ever read. Bordering on Mervyn Peake level of writing.
Ha!!! That’s too funny.
Ooof! AI as the solution to problems created by AI has a very mafia shakedown to it.
Same situation with web search: AI slop websites have made search so miserable that using LLMs instead of traditional search is the only viable path forward.
A Projector hanging from an I-beam
We got something similar to that clamp for our projector. Clamps into the I-beam but lets you drop a pole straight down.
Clean!!!! 👌
Point Cloud Pro tip: use a rolling average inside a double buffer to average pixel positions to avoid bouncing animations

I’m so psyched for this! 🔥
I may have pinched a hole in the matrix.
Today we’re launching Open Climate Risk, a fully open option for U.S. building-level climate risk data. It’s unique because it allows you to see not only risk scores, starting with wildfire, but also the complete underlying dataset, methods, and codebase. carbonplan.org/research/cli...
Wow. Beautiful @roberthodgin.bsky.social !
Alt text + tagging #USPol – point 3 is MASSIVE.
It imposes extra costs and unexpcted barriers on tens of millions of married people, plus untold trans people and others who have changed their names. Many would be turned away from voting because they wouldn't know, or wouldn't have birth cert handy.
