Opinion | The Playbook Used to ‘Prove’ Vaccines Cause Autism (Gift Article) Data can easily be manipulated to show causation that doesn’t exist.

"Every dollar spent relitigating the disproven vaccine-autism link is a dollar stolen from research that could actually help people with autism — studies on support services, educational interventions, employment programs and other factors behind autism" www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

An armed conflict between India and Pakistan would be catastrophic for the world and must be avoided at all costs. The United States and our allies should be doing everything we can to stop another escalation and pursue all possible diplomatic avenues to resolve this peacefully.

On Friday, my son stayed home from school because he had a sore throat and wasn’t feeling well. He went with my husband to his office for the morning while I handled our daughter. When he came back at lunch, he was not interested in eating, saying his throat hurt too much. 1/n

I just want spend my time doing experiments that fail a majority of the time, getting papers rejected much of the time, and spending weeks writing grants that have a 10% chance of success

Whatever this thing is now….completely sucks

I recently found the programs I saved from the event remembering Ruth Kirschstein at NIH in 2010.

"Inspiring the Best in Others"

It was attended by ~2000 people in Natcher Auditorium on the NIH campus.

The 1% evade $163B in taxes per year.

Tesla paid $0 in federal income taxes from 2018 - 2022 & 2024.

Billionaires can write off the cost of their private jets and yachts.

While undocumented immigrants paid $96B in taxes in 2022.

The more you look into it, the crazier it gets.

A black-and-white photo shows a woman in a patterned dress with a lace collar and pearl necklace, sitting in a chair. The background features shelves with bottles and a wire basket, suggesting an early 20th-century setting, possibly a pharmacy or study.

Why Nikola Tesla was the greatest geek who ever lived - The Oatmeal An ode to the father of the electric age.

I want to leave this great comic here for everyone to honor the memory of TESLA. He didn’t move fast or break stuff. He moved slowly and deliberately, and built wonders that have made our lives wonderful.

None of this “I’m too busy”, “science isn’t political”, or “I’m tired”…

We are on the front lines of a descent into fascism. Put the pipette down. It’s go time.

I have confirmation from several sources now that all T32s, many F30s and F31s, and most or all Center awards (P30, P50) have been terminated at Columbia.

This is quite damaging to research and to individuals.

This is pure terrorism and cannot be legal. But litigation will take time...

What follows will include some generalizations based on population averages of what I have experienced over the course of my career. There are, of course, exceptions in every group who are substantially more to one extreme or the other.
