1000%. That’s why we stopped selling multiple AA tables at our largest show. If you need that much space, a 10x10 is a better bet on all fronts.

That’s part of the reason that we put Artist Alley at the entrance of our shows (thanks Neal Adams!), vet AA applicants, and require that everybody there sell mostly flat art. It’s not a solution but it heads the right direction.

It cannot be overstated how weird & groundbreaking THE MAXX was upon release. It was this crazy culture grenade, bridging the Venn diagram between mainstream comics & Alt (not indie) comics. In an era of anti-heroes, The Maxx satirized that, redefining what mainstream comics could be. RIP Sam Kieth.
