Early projections see #Michael earning a 3-day opening weekend of between $55 and $60 million at the domestic box office. 💲
Even if it hits the lower bound of that range, it will set a major record.

And yet, I still have no idea what the plot of the film is. I know the quote is "The Lord works in mysterious ways"......is that just a metaphor for the plot being a mystery?!
Blues Brothers 2000 is about 10 minutes shorter than the original and yet it feels like it goes on longer than it took God to create the universe.
Believe me, as someone who loves wanting to support the artists behind the things I love and not the actual corporations and the execs who run them, I feel your pain badly.
These are companies that now own so much great media that would be insanely difficult to part ways from. I hate how it’s come to this.
At the very least, I try to make it a point to give those assholes as little money as I possibly can and make do with what I already have.
Harry Potter is a single IP which directly funds unspeakable evil, and which I never really cared for in the first place. That was an easy boycott.
I used to eat Chick-Fil-A until I found out they were funding homophobia. That was an easy boycott.
But this is different.
I really hate to be that guy, but boycotts are very difficult for me to take part in when it comes to large scumbag corporations like Disney or Paramount, because so much of my favorite media is owned (or potentially about to be owned) by those scumbag corporations.
When it comes to DreamWorks films that I really think deserve more love, one of my biggest examples is still Rise of the Guardians. I still remember falling in love with it when I first saw it due to its imagination and visuals. Definitely a fun one.
Avatar: Aang, the Last Airbender, a film without an official release date confirmed, in Letterboxd’s ‘popular this week’ tab
An unreleased film that got leaked due to poor studio management and security just broke into the ‘popular this week’ on Letterboxd. Well, David Ellison, now you’re going to *have* to put it in cinemas
If you see this dipshit online. Just block him!

And y’all are never fucking happy by the way. They can give you everything you want and then you’ll just turn around and say “ I can’t believe they just wrote this to cater to the fandom” YOUR NEVER HAPPY.
Also, fun fact, every animation studio does have to keep the fans or the fandom in mind. Unfortunately, running a studio is also whole business and they need to know if your show is profitable. If they can make merch and other shit people will like.
Y’all have this fucking moral superiority complex in your brain like “ i could do better than that.” Then do better. You want to make a meaningful show? Then DO THAT. Figure it out work hard try to do something with your life instead of sitting around complaining about everything.
Like I get it if you don’t really like the ideas that come out but it’s just not true for everybody. But what’s crazy is when a show does have a meaningful message. You either don’t support it or you constantly beat it until there’s nothing left to beat. Until no one can even stand to like it.
You know indie animation is kind of fucked and it because of the fans being just the fucking worst. Yall complain about everything. Litterly everything. Your fav animation studios from back then made their mark with simple ideas that still resonated with people to this day.
Everything that your favorite studios have made was 100% in mind of the fan base and what people would like at the time.
It was a safe bet that they can put their money/ art into it an ensure that would make them more money. Because a mom would read her daughter Snow White before bed then maybe see a poster where Disney is like “we’re making an animated version of Snow White come bring your kids and take a break.”
“I want to go back to a time when it was just about the art”
It was never just about the art. Why do you think Disney started with fairy tales/ princess? because they knew that it was already had a “fan base” because parents were reading those books to their children already of these characters.
Going back to Crimson Mayhem, I’m now deeply concerned of what happened at the watch party from what I read. I even have to agree with a few that the fight against Ryan (SGP) has been going for quite too long and mentally draining. If this continues on even into next year, it’ll be dry and ugly.
I've just been informed that The Great Mouse Detective is turning 40 this year. One of my all-time favorites.
I'm still genuinely surprised that the film didn't get any sequels. Hell, I'm surprised there's not anymore Basil of Baker Street adaptations.
WHAT THE FUDGE???!!! 😬😧

I know it may just be a video game to some, but Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream really brighten things up since it came out.
Definitely needed something like it.
