I'm almost done with my aunt's estate, almost a year after she died. The greatest gift she gave me as the person managing her care was having all of this in place so I simply didn't have to think about it.

These are decisions that should never have to be on a next of kin or caregiver to make.

A Russian man the approximate size, shape, and age of Danny DeVito had his first pilates class ever on the reformer next to me today. I helped him figure out the springs etc a couple of times.

Touched up my first gouache painting last night. There's stuff I'd like to add (the late-afternoon sun spilling across the grass) and fix (that stream is still way too Blue) but one of the joys for me in this whole process is that I don't have the expectation or ability to get things Perfect.
After meditating on how absurdly overleveled and out of the momentum of the game I was by the time I finished The Descent, I rolled my file back to the save I did before I started it, 10 hours ago.
