Yes, but at least there are two different opinions! My outside face and my inside face are the same disaster. ๐Ÿ˜‚

*Intellectually*, I understand that these types of neuroses can be debilitating but *emotionally*, I always wish my form of mental illness involved impeccable hygiene and a spotless house instead of the depression-slob-disaster thing I currently have going on.

We had such a short, lovely window of knees and thighs and they want to take that *away*??? RUDE.

Tbf, most districts (outside of Portland) are about 94% white, so that point isn't doing the heavy lifting here.

books should have good sentences in them, at least sometimes. Can't be arsed with books where the sentences aren't even good

So if you are baptized but never convert to a different religion then you will stay a Christian? Regardless of behavior? (Although probably not get into heaven?)

So does that mean if Trump was *ever* baptized then he is a Christian, regardless of behavior?

6 days ago 1 0 1 0

That makes sense! And I think I didn't get the full context of the original post, and that it was about Trump's nonsense. He certainly was always a terrible Christian in terms of action but yeah, I think it's reasonable to say he isn't one at all based on that portrayal of himself. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Somehow I feel like this is insulting to eunuchs.

(Judaism is orthopraxic - correct conduct rather than correct faith. I can be a "bad" Jew by not believing in God but if I follow the commandments and culture then I am still a Jew. Does that make sense?)

I have a genuine question - I had thought that the basic requirement to be a Christian was one of faith, accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. You can choose not to follow his teachings and be a "bad" Christian but if you still believe he is the Messiah, you are a Christian. Is that not right?

PSA: itchy allergy eyes and a crying jag will make you look like a puffy blotchy squirrel. 0/10, do not recommend.

'The village' is not just for support, it's for validation, because God knows how much of a relief it is to walk into someone else's house and it looks like yours (messy) and their kids act the same (whiny and annoying).

(our laundry room looks like a tornado hit it)

Of The Empire
We will be known as a culture that feared death and adored power, that tried to vanquish insecurity for the few and cared little for the penury of the many. We will be known as a culture that taught and rewarded the amassing of things, that spoke little if at all about the quality of life for people (other people), for dogs, for rivers. All the world, in our eyes, they will say, was a commodity. And they will say that this structure was held together politically, which it was, and they will say also that our politics was no more than an apparatus to accommodate the feelings of the heart, and that the heart, in those days, was small, and hard, and full of meanness.

2026 so far -
Things broken: my daughter's arm, a section of fence, our HVAC, my car's brakes, headlights, and tires, multiple light fixtures, my husband's phone and tablet, the USA

Things bent: my FIL's heart and body, my mental health, my work performance

Things strong: my marriage, my family

I had *just* talked about how it was miraculous that she hadn't broken anything yet, because she's such an active, chaotic child. I jinxed it. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ But she's a rockstar and charmed everyone at the hospital. And she's a lefty so it could be worse. ๐Ÿ˜‚ But still. ๐Ÿ˜ญ
