It's like the Israeli government is actively trying to alienate more young American Jews from the state of Israel. www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_ent...

Half of American Jewish voters believe Trump is personally antisemitic. Nearly three-quarters believe Trump bears some personal responsibility for the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.
Meanwhile, Israel is giving him a prize for "special contribution to the Jewish people."
If you're complaining about the ADL without uplifting orgs that are very thoughtfully taking on the challenging and thanklessly task of threading the needle between antisemitism and anti-Zionism with respect for everyone then I kinda look at you askance
It's true that the ADL conflates all criticism of Israel with antisemitism, which is why it is good that there are orgs like @nexusproject.bsky.social which offer incredibly nuanced analyses of antisemitism nexusproject.us/nexus-resour...
It's sad when people die, especially for those who loved them.
David Scott died a couple of years past his life expectancy.
During those two years (out of 23 in the House), he did not speak on the House floor, according to the NYT.
4 Dems over 70 have died in the past year.
He really should have retired years ago.
Groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center (@splcenter.org) make this nation safer for American Jews and all Americans — which is why the Trump regime’s DOJ is targeting them. 🧵
I have seen the concerning footage of Council Member Chi Ossé's arrest earlier today and am in touch with Commissioner Tisch about the nature of the arrest. It is a pleasure to work alongside Council Member Ossé, a leader in his community and a partner in building a safer and more affordable New York City. I am grateful he is out of custody.
Really hard to figure out why Maine voters are going with a guy with a Nazi tattoo over a 78-year-old governor
Screenshot of a social media post by Brianna Wu (@BriannaWu) that reads: "One of my biggest hopes for the future is that we can come up with some sort of test in utero to determine if a child is going to grow up to be transsexual, and then opt them out of the gene pool. It's, I can tell you firsthand, it's a horrific way to grow up, one that no ethical person should want to inflict on a child. The reason the trans community is so unstable online is the developmental damage that we invariably get. It's like a house being built where every floor is leaning, and by the time you get to the top, the entire structure is unstable. Repairing that damage has taken me a lifetime."
Brianna Wu advocates for the extermination of trans people by engaging in eugenicist selective abortions of fetuses determined to be trans.
You ever try to code switch at work and fail? 😂
So much false equivalence in media on gerrymandering in Texas vs California & Virginia. California and Virginia maps approved by the voters. That's a huge difference not enough people pointing out
The national GOP tomorrow could easily pass a bill that bans gerrymandering and mandates competitive maps, but they won't. Instead they'll just lean into grievance and self-victimhood.
Remember when Republicans drew Virginia's Congressional map so Black people were packed into one district and said we should be grateful they gave our community this district. NOW they can have one district and see how much they love it.
Virginia state Senator Louise Lucas (a Democrat who is the chamber's president pro tempore) just tweeted this:
With the result in Virginia, here's what we know about how mid-decade redistricting has shifted the landscape.
Across the 7 states with new maps:
—11 districts have shifted toward Democrats;
—9 districts have shifted toward the GOP.
what remains to be seen:
—What Florida Republicans do in a special session next week.
—What Missouri's supreme court does with ballot petitions to block the new Missouri map (accounts for 1 GOP seat).
—What Virginia's supreme court does with the GOP lawsuit against the Virginia referendum.
The YES has won in Virginia; voters approved the constitutional amendment to adopt Dems' congressional gerrymander.
This is likely to deliver a 10-1 (Dem) congressional delegation in November, compared to 6-5 (Dem) now.
The remaining obstacle: State supreme court will be weighing in still.
Very clear effect where Yes overperforms Harris and Jones in blue counties and No overperforms Trump and Miyares in red counties
Aside from who started it, states like CA and VA putting a counter-gerrymander up to a referendum, where people are told and can make a decision on the context for why it's being done, has vastly more democratic legitimacy than state legislators rushing it through because they got bullied by POTUS.
incredibly funny that House Dems ended up giving Swalwell's Homeland Security committee seat to Analilia Mejia, who ran and won on abolishing ICE, presumably to avoid having to shuffle around any other members' committee assignments
It's actually shaping up to be a really interesting primary between the two as Erin Byrnes (the State Rep) also backed the Uncommitted vote, but isn't playing it up as much as Abbas Alawieh (the Uncommitted Movement leader) is.
She's got establishment support, but Alawieh has local support.
The only Republican to file for Michigan's #SD02, which backed Trump by 2 and contains Dearborn/Dearborn Heights, is a perennial candidate who has lost every race he's run in.
And the two Democrats running are a State Rep and the leader of the Uncommitted Movement. Republicans ain't trying here.
Incredible shots of the exchange between Rep. AOC and RFK, Jr. at today’s congressional hearing.

Bait with Riz Ahmed and a new season of Beef with Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are great to watch.
I was so surprised to hear that Alan Dershowitz was switching from Democrat to Republican because I thought he was already dead.
Good riddance
The United States as it currently exists is not worth saving. We are trying to build a United States that doesn’t suck complete ass 👍
I don’t think a lot of Jews have really internalized yet that Israel’s genocide will always and forever be a part of Jewish history and intertwined with the Holocaust.
I’m not responsible for it and I have no ties to Israel but we will never be able to fully escape what Israelis did in our name.
“It’s the fault of the voters.”
Okay great, you made yourself feel better and morally superior, now what?
You just going to keep losing elections and blaming the voters?
