Well let's see how this strategy of telling "white liberals" to "fuck right off" works out in the local elections

OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.
Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

"We're going to ban smartphones in schools."
"Okay, I guess you want kids to engage with the lesson and not resort to whatever slop chatGPT spits out"
"Exactly, now let me explain how we're planning to intergrate AI into the classroom."

This chaos is going to hit America in the near future, look what Trump and Netanyahu's war is doing to Asia-Pacific.
Now, we're in the "shortages" phase.

That's not to say that you shouldn't be careful how you use these glasses. Meta doesn’t have the greatest track record on privacy, and the company has continued to push forward with policies that are questionable at best. Even if you’re not concerned that face recognition will allow Meta to target immigrants or enable stalkers to find their victims, at the very least, people really do not like the idea that you could start recording them at any moment.
Probably the biggest hurdle to wearing Meta glasses is that even doing so seems like a gross violation of the social contract. After all, these are Mark Zuckerberg's “pervert glasses.” When I pop these on my head, I’ve had friends (and my spouse) recoil and say, “I have apps to warn me away from people like you.” The best part, though, is that Oakley and Ray-Ban already make really great sunglasses. Even if the battery runs out or you don't use Meta AI at all, these are stellar at shading your eyes from the sun
This is the most extensive disclaimer I’ve ever seen in a buying guide. www.wired.com/story/best-m...

The Iranian government ridiculed EU top diplomat Kaja Kallas’ calls to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and respect international law.
Campaigners have warned lawmakers against "rushing int" a ban on social media for under-16s after it emerged the Government has carried out no internal modelling of its key impacts. The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) revealed it has "not done any modelling or analysis" on the impact such measures would have in areas such as mental health, access to news and how young people might bypass any restrictions. In response to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request by the Press Association, the department said internal modelling had not been carried out because "clear, agreed evidence does not currently exist".

The privacy of others. Group privacy. It’s long been a thing. There’s long been a need for individuals to think of the privacy of others when connecting their lives to online services and what services may do with those images of others
“Take a moment to think before you dive in. That’s the best advice for Google Photos users, as the company confirms its latest update can scan all your photos to “use actual images of you and your loved ones” in AI image generation.”
