Okay I'm back from my holiday, hopefully there's been no major world events over the past two weeks.
Here's a new story! This is the second sequel to a prequel of a previous gendermorph story. I'll probably edit these all together into one coherent narrative once the commissioner is finished so they're a little easier to follow.

I'm lucky that in the 5(?) years I've been writing professionally I've only ever seen someone blatantly steal my work once. I commented on it, and they deleted their account. Visual artists aren't as lucky I think.
I think I'm probably getting a message every few days either on Deviantart or Discord from an 'artist' begging me to commission a comic from them based on a story of mine.
I don't even know what can be done about it. I report the accounts for IP violations but there's no follow up.
Getting incredibly frustrated with the amount of stolen art I'm seeing on Deviantart, used to pad the galleries of accounts who then message random people to commission them.
They're all so blatantly scams, but I'm seeing more and more of them each day.

I'm very much at a loss. If people would be willing, I can see about restarting my Patreon in a couple of months and just hoping for the best, but I'm open to suggestions as to my next steps.
This is entirely out of my hands but well below the standards I'd like to hold myself to as a writer. You deserve better, and I want to try and make it up to you.
I've been on Patreon for years, painstakingly building up a following and it feels like an absolute hammer blow to now have to start all over again. I'm really sorry if anyone is waiting on their subscriber benefits or has lost access to stories they've paid for.
I'll still be releasing stories as much as I can, and anything scheduled for release on Patreon (I had stories on there leading up to April) will be posted on here at the times I originally planned.
I don't really want to run the risk of this happening again so if there are any alternative platforms, I'd love to know them.
I'm really not sure what to do now and would love it if anything could make some suggestions.

Patreon have said that I can start a new account after two months, as long as I prove I'm not going to break the guidelines (again, which they've not told me how I've broken).
Without getting into anything too personal, Patreon was a major income stream for me that I relied upon heavily. I also had a considerable quantity of money sat in my account on there (I usually wait to withdraw until the tax year closes) which I now have no access to.
Previously, if this has happened, I've had a story removed and then after a few edits they allow it to be posted once more. This is a massively heavy handed approach that I really wasn't expecting.
I've appealed the ban, but Patreon have denied the appeal.

Sadly, Patreon have decided to ban my page. I've received no warning of this and they've not specified the reason other than alleged violations of their content policy.
