Alligator Alcatraz phones were cut off. Then the beatings began, court docs say Attorneys say the Trump and DeSantis administrations are disregarding a court order requiring access to phones and attorneys for detainees.

The Constitution and a court order both say that the Everglades detention facility must allow people access to their attorneys.

Instead of complying, guards are cutting off people’s phone access and beating people who speak up.

Also I am a harsh critic of Dorsey and so NOT believe him to be sincere when it comes to helping people with his policies. He knows he’s harming people, he just doesn’t care.

I am a D6 constituent and am very against Dorsey’s stigmatization of people with substance use disorder and of substances in general. His solutions are cruel, anti-scientific and narrow-minded.

Will a new state law put teeth into S.F. supe Dorsey’s plan to fund only drug-free homeless housing? YIMBYs fear and loathe the plan, and deride it as mere ‘virtue signaling.’ But a proposed change to California law could change all that.
