In a constant state of improvement and awareness of all aspects of the game. Simply not chalking things up to variance, but realizing and assessing what things were in my control both in and outside of matches.
It's looking at a person's process and not just results.

Reminds me a bit of Mr. Sinister and the older version of Morph from the 90s X-Men cartoon versus the current interaction.
Definitely professionally (with judging) and personally you're the person I get good sound advice from. The older brother I never had.
It's okay. I still value you as a friend and mentor.

Dauschund named Beefy.
First Modern RCQ Head Judging for the cycle at Parker Banner Kent Wayne. Beefy running security.
Standard season over. Time to prep for Modern. And then scramble for a Standard RC in the middle of it.
Anybody else been playing Dice A Million? I know Balatro got a lot of people in my circle when it hit. Haven't heard much chatter on this one.
To help fund my trip for RC DC in May, I've updated some inventory on my ManaPool shop!
Magus Tower Games. Some new inventory and some price changes on the existing stock. Buy from me friends.

Dimir Elementals. Played against a similar list at MKE. Experimented with Grixis, but manabase feels better with Dimir. Solid midrange plan with good card draw, disruption. Continue to tweak for DC.
Just qualified for DC with Dimir Elementals! Had to beat 2 Rakdos Discard decks in top 4.
Is this Insanity Voja?
Mono Red wins it.
Now to go open some Turtle Packs and eat.

Me, judging the event.
10 players in a Magic event
10 players today for today's Standard RCQ at R&B Games in Statesville.
Round 14 v Simic Rhythm.
Mulled to 4 w/ a no lander game 1. Got punched by a Hoof on turn 4 game 2. It is what it is.
Calling it my weekend there.
8-6
Round 13 v Lessons 1-2
Got stuck on 3 lands game 3. So a rough way to lose.
Round 12 v Dimir Excructiator 2-1
He combo'd game 1. Got games 2 and 3 with aggressive Kaitos.
8-4
Round 11 v Dimir Control 2-1
Both games 1 or 3 I had enough disruption/removal along with aggressive starts. It got me there.
7-4.
Milwaukee Day 2 Updates:
R10 v Boros Dragons 0-2
I just got rolled by so many flying boys.
It's okay. I made it to day 2. I'm here. 5 more rounds.
6-4
R9 v Izzet Elementals 2-1
We got there y'all. Right amount of aggression and response. Sadly my opponent flooded out game 3.
My first Day 2, 2nd RC.
6-3
R8 v Dimir Midrange 1-2
My first time playing against the Mirror. Not sure I played it correctly, but my opponent played well and drew better.
5-3
R7 v Orzhov Aggro
Rough for my opponent since he struggled to draw white sources both games.
Tbf, I flooded like hell game 2 but just had enough threats to eat all of his removal.
5-2.
R6 vs Excruciator
2-0. Just aggro tempo. Which I think that's the only way I win the game. Felt weird to hard cast a Kaito and just use him as an ice down effect over 2 turns, but it worked.
4-2
R5 vs Mono G Landfall
1-2. Stole game 2 by countering an early fetch activation with Tidebinder. But Esper Origins wrecked me.
3-2
R4 vs Simic Rhythm
Games were close aside from game 1 where I got stuck on 2 lands. Bitterbloom Bearer was great. So were Tidebinders. He punted on a combat step where I had crackback for lethal.
3-1
R3 vs Dimir Elementals 2-1
We both flooded both games, but his bigger boys win out in combat. Close games for sure.
2-1
R2 v Izzet Elementals 2-1
Tight aggressive play got me there.
I love that I can pivot with this deck, and just force a lot of things by playing more flash speed.
2-0
RC Milwaukee Updates:
Registered Dimir Midrange
R1 v Izzet Spellementals 2-1
1-0 to start the day. I'll be posting updates to the thread.
