To my non tech normies, PSA: when you share a link, everything after the ? is tracking. Those “query parameters” tell companies exactly how you arrived, what app you clicked, which ad or email sent you, sometimes a unique identifier tied to you. You can delete everything after the question mark.

I'm old-fashioned. I want your business to have a website. Don't gimme an Instagram page and a phone number. I wanna see what services you offer and then make an appointment on a regular degular website!

At a gig for 4 bands I don't know. 2nd band comes on, I turn to my partner and am like 'huh, that drummer looks a *lot* like the guy who played James Bond in ERB and Benoit Blanc in Stupendiums detective mashup'. Look it up after, and yeah, Ben Atha, drummer of Ivan Campo, was both of those roles

tom saying "it's like a maze." there was also another shot of him saying "I don't know" before the corridors line, but the subtitles didn't line up for me to get it all in. You can only do four pictures. Life is full of these little compromises. chakotay is again there, unfortunately

New NHS England Review Excluded 97% Of All Trans Studies To Say Care Doesn't Work The new review has led to a ban for HRT through the NHS England system under the age of 18.

1. A new NHS England Review excluded 97% of all trans care studies to conclude that trans youth care doesn't work.

It explicitly violates several guidelines around reviewing literature, and appears to be politics masquerading as (shoddy) science.

Long-time buddies Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols were out for a pleasant van drive in Oklahoma when, all of a sudden, their lives would change.

Fluxer has been real fun to experiment with recently (along with Stoat and Spacebar) as I'm trying to find a viable alternative to Discord (Fluxer being my most likely pick)

I hear a lot of people saying that ai makes art accessible.. well I personally think that's bullshit- so I made this to drive my point home.

Also I think it really doesn't account for vibes/expectations of interactions? Like in a physical space you can't really ignore/block someone who has the wrong idea about what you want

"Censorship" and "Not platforming something" are not remotely the same, and this infuriating insistence on conflating the two is why I had zero moral choice other than to leave Substack.

I always think my home coffee is okay but nothing really outstanding, but then I go and get a coffee at one of those 'coffee and donuts' chains (ie Dunkin, Tim Hortons) and am reminded of how bad 'standard' coffee can be
