It's grotesque

The closest I've gotten to finding those spaces currently is in a few select podcasts and email newsletters, but every other discourse space is just full of people horrified like me.

Today I am mourning the loss of substance. I miss intellectual dialogue based on facts. I miss being able to have conversations that don't devolve into attacks or depression. The world right now feels devoid of authentic connection. It feels like anything good and true is being broken.

Donald Trump, allegedly the “leader of the free world,” has attacked Canada, Ukraine, and Taiwan harsher than he ever attacked Russia, China, and North Korea. Let that sink in.

Well, food is about to get a lot more expensive, and I manage stress by info-dumping, so I'm gonna share some of the survival strategies I learned spending my first 30 years food-insecure:

First: Cooking in large quantities and freezing some for later is more cost-effective than cooking every day

I just want someone out here saying "Hey, we have ideas for new things that everyone is gonna like!" and the closest I've gotten to seeing that is @sanders.senate.gov 's rant about the working class being left behind (which they are).

And to be clear, the #republican party has basically made their personality "we're gonna undo everything that guy did and then some", which is even worse.

The #democrat party right now feels a lot like guys who make their entire personality about things they hate and then wonder why no one wants to date them.
