Went out birding today and finished listening to @chanda.blacksky.app 's The Edge of Space-time; tickled by how much my understanding of photons from photography helped me engage with the science more deeply!

A great egret’s long neck is slightly curved, but stretched towards the water. It’s beak penetrates the water and beyond the ripple is a full reflection of the bird.

Public libraries rock and I’ll make sure as ours has it. But this is something I want to read over time. The E-book is quite affordable on kobo but, who wouldn’t want this book on their shelf? I mean the cover alone!

OK, Bluesky, this is my second week of being laid off and I’m feeling that very dangerous dip in motivation, which is often low in my AuDHD brain anyway, especially post menopause. I’m gonna set some challenges for me in the coming weeks. And I mate somewhat boringly post them on here.

I’m waiting for my first EI payment to pick up Prescott-Weinstein’s book! But this looks like an excellent list for spring. What a good time to be laid off.

This is my second year of noticing them at all and just last week I realized they’re paired up in the forest. there were two distinct pairs that I met. They were quite cute. Going shopping for seeds together.
