Installed my first mod ever tonight (I know right, what rock have I been living under??) for Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The mod? When picking herbs and things, instead of waiting for the crouching animation to pick one each time... Auto-picking! In groups, even!

Pretty decently actually, if you're willing to take the time. You can "overblow" the colour on objects to simulate glow, and you can also use shaders to create "light" and "shadows." Only catch of course it's not REAL light, so it's a bit of a balancing act.

Yeah, exactly. 😤 Godot limits to 16 lights per object, so placing lights ANYwhere and at any size/brightness was proving an issue. Now lights can still be placed anywhere, but create buffer zones around themselves where other lights can't go or have their own buffer zone overlap.

That's kinda all there is to know at this point, really. 😅 The lights do add another level to the visuals tho, I'm glad I took the time to work them in!

Nearly 19 hrs. later and I think I'm MOSTLY happy with how they work. 😆 Granted I revamped some things, and tried a few diff methods to manage Godot's lighting limitations... but I did it!
