I was just talking about this earlier today!! One million percent the bad stuff gives me the most motivation

I feel like we all have that classic book we’re embarrassed to not have finished yet… for me it’s Dante’s Inferno (I’ve been 50 words deep for almost a year because I keep getting sidetracked by other books 🫣)

Every single time I get sick I immediately forget what it feels like to breathe easy. Today, drowning in a heap of adrenaline from the rest of my life, I realized I do the same thing with stress.

All the things that you’re afraid of, things you didn’t even know you were afraid of, can happen. What matters is what you do next.

Any advice for aspiring authors?

There’s also something about turning a page that makes a story so much more real. Doing something tactile to advance in the story, being able to physically feel the weight of the pages behind you and those ahead, it’s a journey that an e-book doesn’t provide.

Funny how that’s peace for us but I doubt the rabbit running from the wolf feels the same way.

You know that thing you do when life falls apart? That’s you. I spent years trying to convince myself I wasn’t meant to be a writer but the truth is that when I have nothing else, it’s all that I am.
