I still don't feel like I even went into depth about how i need to be reminded to eat, and need premade meal help or i starve. Or how hyperfixations trigger my mania, and I won't sleep for 24+ hours.
It sucks!! But I wouldn't ever wish it away. I just wish the world was a bit kinder to us all.
Sometimes, my disorders make me feel like a monster. A blight on this world, but I'm alive, and I exist. I deserve to exist no matter how difficult my disabilities can be.
So I'll keep trying. Even if my legs are cut off and I'm bleeding out. I won't stop trying to become human.
There's countless aspects of autism that I struggle with, but the most painful one will always circle back to the strain on my relationships. Sensory issues, ARFID, accommodating myself 24/7, is nothing compared to the pain I've experienced due to misunderstandings.
I can't *remember* TO express because it's not natural for me. It's overwhelming and makes me off putting. There's countless examples of me on stream, re-tellling something and the only way I can consistently and coherently share it, is if my eyes are closed.
Upsetting others for existing is a constant fear I'm always aware of. Despite how happy I am and how engaged I am in something, I struggle expressing it because of my monotone voice, or my face won't physically express emotion the way I want it to, or to the expected degree.
Level 2 autism puts strain and difficulties in every single aspect of my waking existence. Self-care, friendships, work, EVERYTHING is really confusing for me in regards to communication. I've been told I'm blunt, harsh, short. But I simply think I'm being neutral and direct.
April is Autism Awareness Month so be AWARE of me!!
You would assume looking at me online, that I'm high functioning, but I actually am diagnosed with level 2 autism. Meaning, in addition to my co-comorbidities, I struggle to take care of myself and exist without help.
