ICE is offering $50k bonuses to retired officers to come back and kidnap & disappear people.

$50k to participate in tyranny and oppression.

$50k to hide your face and attack hard working immigrants.

This is what Medicaid and food assistance was cut for.

Remote workers are 40% more productive than those same workers in the office. And most of us spend those in-office days on Zoom ANYWAY, talking to people in other offices.

But it makes managers sad that they can't physically see their peasants toiling in the fields, so out you go!

On Italy’s Republic Day, Etna isn’t holding back 🌋🇮🇹 Activity started with mild Strombolian explosions that quickly intensified. A small lava flow made its way down the Valle del Bove. A particularly remarkable event just occurred: part of the Southeast Crater collapsed, triggering a PDC

Earlier today, Mt. Etna erupted with a pyroclastic density current (a "pyroclastic flow").

Although the volcano is one of the most active in the world, PDCs are *relatively* rare for Etna. Even a modestly sized one can be deadly because of their speed, heat, and explosivity.

"Women are PIs on 58% of the canceled grants, although they are PIs on only 34% of all active NSF grants.

Similarly, Blacks are PIs on 17% of the terminated grants, although they make only 4% of the total pool. Hispanic PIs and those with disabilities were twice as likely to lose a grant."

Ask FDA’s Vaccines and Biological Products Committee to ensure universal and twice-a-year access to the COVID vaccine by 12 PM on May 14th The FDA VRBPAC, between now and May 14, is accepting comments for the upcoming vaccine committee meeting. Everyone should have access to COVID vaccines, and that it should be available twice a year.

Two more days left to submit a comment to @fda.gov supporting continued access to COVID vaccines! I just did it and it was easy.

Comments close at noon May 14. Please do it now!

The percentage of white men in the US pop is ~30%. Thus, as always, the complaint is that white men are not sufficiently overrepresented (as they have been throughout US history).

EVERY TIME YOU SAY IT IS ANTISEMITIC TO BE AGAINST KILLING PALESTINIANS, YOU'RE SAYING IT IS JEWISH TO MURDER

In agreement with the Cities and Volcanoes Commission and the
IAVCEI Executive Committee, the Local Organizing Committee for the 13th Cities on Volcanoes (COV13) conference, originally planned for July 2026 in Bend, Oregon (U.S.A.), has made the difficult decision to postpone the event to a future date.
Recent developments have created uncertainty around our ability to confidently and effectively host the conference in 2026 and to welcome attendees without concern.
This decision follows many months of collaboration with more than 70 local, regional, and international partners to shape an engaging and meaningful program. We recognize this news will be disappointing, but we believe it is the most responsible choice under the current circumstances, grounded in care for our colleagues and partners.
With continued support from the Cities and Volcanoes Commission and IAVCEl, we are already exploring the possibility of hosting COV in Bend in 2030 or 2032, and we remain hopeful for opportunities to gather in the future.

Make no mistake: if Poilievre and the Conservatives get in, the same anti-science anti-education anti-freedom of speech anti-LGBTQ policies that Trump has introduced in the 🇺🇸 will come to 🇨🇦. They cannot win.
