Yasu took notice of the small shift in the others demeanor but decided not to bring it up for now.
"I can only imagine the antics you must get up to here. Hope you're still training as hard as you used too, remember growing complacent is fatal to a hero."
He decided to shift the conversation.

He let out a nervous chuckle.

His demeanor shifted from nervous to excited at the prospect of constant hero work.

Yasu glanced over the other for a moment before letting out a light sigh, staring off the roof at the horizon of the city.

Yasu couldn't help but laugh slightly before his hands returned to his side.
"I recall a young man who wouldn't even work with me at the time."
He couldn't help but tease the other. A habit from when they'd traveled with each other.
~At the SDN? If I'm going to be honest, I couldn't even find my way to registration- this place is a maze."
"I'll have you know I always looked like a well chiseled marble statue, thank you very much."
He joked with a laugh.
"So I'm still not taller than you- Just means you got to raise the bar on your height jokes."
Another laugh, this time at his own terrible pun.
"Jokes aside, how is it here~
Yasu smiled gently as he brought his hands together at his chest and clasped them together.
"It's no worries at all, Vlad. I recall when you couldn't touch most things without them freezing over, it's pleasant to see you've managed to gain some semblance of control over your powers."
~Hero Exchange program here in America, and it would seem the SDN were the ones to accept the application."
Yasu couldn't help but shiver at the others approach, he never did get used to the chilling atmosphere that surrounded Vlad. However, Yasu didn't back away or make any mention of it. Simply gaining a soft smile at the questions from his old friend.
"I ended up at TCSHAM. They signed me up for the~
The familiar voice from the other managed to cause Yasu's eyes to narrow for a moment before they widened with a sense of pleasant surprise.
"Vlad..? Is that you, my friend? You look... different than how you used to. Certainly more Kakkoii."
He mumbled to himself with a gentle chuckle.

Yasu had been new to the SDN, so he'd found his way out to the roof to escape how close quarters the office itself felt. However, much to Yasu's surprise, he'd find he wasn't the only one who'd thought of retreating to the roof for privacy and peace.
