I tried to get Alexa to play White Noise twice this morning, and both times she played NPR. There may be a funnier epithet for NPR than 'White Noise', but I don't know what it is. 😊🤣

I was listening to "Golden" from KPop Demon Hunters because it's nominated for best song and I hadn't heard it. Apple Music did this little DJ transition into "...Ready For It" by Taylor Swift and it was, no sarcasm, awesome. It gave me a little chill it was so good.

I volunteered at an Irish festival and there were instructions about what to do if ICE showed up. I wasn't too worried because the only festivals less likely to have an ICE presence are the mayonnaise festival, the unseasoned chicken breast festival and the "this water is a little spicy" festival

Also I know he looks young. All I had was a chunky pencil and a 3" piece of paper. 😃

I was listening to a talk by David Lynch this morning about consciousness and creativity. While I was listening, I drew this little sketch of him, just have something to do with my hands. He got to a point where he was talking about life and how everything is special.

I had to write a personal statement today and I felt very "old man yells at cloud" when I talked about how the world strips us of awe.

Occasionally, you say a sentence you know has never been uttered in the history of the earth. Today, mine was, "My daughter can't go to Nine Inch Nails with me because she's making a giant tutu for Uma Thurman"

Those flowers are spectacular!

Anyway, it's normal to feel frustrated, but you should still try to create something today (even if it's a living nightmare LOL)

I had a frustrating day painting day yesterday (trying to learn watercolor online is THE PITS), but then I drew these two weirdos (one of whom is, I think, Dan Harmon) and felt like "Oh I actually can make interesting things".

I've started messing with some similar techniques in my drawings. Watching Twin Peaks has really messed with my head lately, as well. I really dig this one and I hope you will too.

One of my favorite things she did was to add extra bits of anatomy-extra heads growing out of shoulders and multiple bodies literally intertwining and then untangling again. It's a little bit body horror but it's very interesting.

A girl who is all scrunched up. She's got extra feet and knees and elbows.

Jenny Saville had an exhibit at the Modern Fort Worth in December and January. She's a master. She knows anatomy, but she also knows when to do something interesting and abstract with the paint.
