EU: The European Union will require sale of mobile phones with “user-replaceable and longer-lasting batteries” starting in 2027.

Won’t somebody save these hundreds of turtles condemned to death? | First Dog on the Moon There is a whole dam full of water right there but the turtles can’t have it

Letting one person's 'concerns' prevent a life-saving release of environmental water for wildlife, including turtles, is truly fucked up, and those responsible should all be ashamed.

A Greens' aged care inquiry has discovered there's no legal basis for Labor removing human oversight of algorithmic assessments, and the department is exploring options to reinstate clinical override.

Neither myself nor my older than some neighbours have been able to get help at all. Apparently a country drive has always been impossible. I’ve just had a 3 month battle to keep our landline - we don’t get NBN. No power or a passing cloud means no other communication.

I have tried to steer myself away from such thoughts but I’m with you. It’s hard.

Can we please stop punishing the most vulnerable in our society and start helping them? Imagine having your few belongings, including your home, a tent, taken and destroyed, and then finding out it was illegal. In a world of wrongs we must find our rights ✊
