the thing about our current moment is that yes, the anti-AI and anti-big tech people are getting very reactive nowadays - but have you seen what they’re *reacting* to?

It includes inmates, parolees, people awaiting trial, people with felonies. Anyone who has to deal with the blunt end of the justice system in any way whatsoever.

Plus, in my understanding, the term is broader than "inmates" and includes people on home arrest, on parole, on bail, etc. it's not a PC synonym; it's a completely different term.
