Before ~a week ago, I'd never actually animated in Blender; this was a great excuse to learn and get away from Cascadeur (nothing against it, but I've wanted to limit how much I hop between programs).
Pretty happy with my results so far!

Felt like drawing/designing a dragon oni character or something. Kind of MH/DMC inspired.
Unsure how far I'll take it, but it'd be fun to fully realize and sculpt someday. It was good practice painting scales/horns either way.

It happened so fast yet also in slow motion. Just insane. I joked to my mom that in another timeline I died, but I seriously feel very, very lucky. That could’ve gone a hundred other ways.
The moment keeps replaying in my head. It was a rush of thoughts like, “I’ve hydroplaned before, I can stop this,” to then,
“I can’t stop it, I’m gonna hit another car”
“Oh god I didn’t but I’m now rolling, is this where I die?”
“Please finish rolling this last time at least so I’m not upside-down”
Hydroplaned on an off-ramp and had an accident. Car rolled 2 or 3 times down a hill. Very fortunately for me, it finished rolling upright, not quite in water, and I wasn’t injured at all.
Surreal experience to say the least. I feel so lucky for the car being my biggest concern.

Cinquedea's now got Beast Claw R2 feints (instead of other daggers' parry R2 feints) and Raging Beast skill to complement its bestial themeing. Feints also allow for a nice quick follow-up incantation cast to keep pressure.
I also made some color corrections to my Royal Swordsman icons. I really spent a stupid amount of time on these... but I have a better setup now. I should be able to knock my future icons out quicker.
Here they are with some vanilla icons. I'm happy with how well I matched the style!

For comparison, here are the crunchy ones from Remastest above. DS2's icons are lower res to begin with, and I think we just didn't bother upscaling when resizing them lol

Alva armor revamp.
Improved vertex normals, tangents, culling, weighting, and most obviously, spec maps. I took what I could from Guardian's costume in Nightreign and it came out great!
I'll be doing the icon renders next.

For my mod, I will be touching up some of the old DS2 sets Nordgaren and I ported to Remastest way back when, as well as of course porting even more.
I also plan to rerender all of the icons in DS1's style for consistency.

Still got plenty left to do, but I at least imported the correct weapon finally lol. Had some corrections to make for the difference in length.
All this for a grab I'm gonna have to disable in areas with low ceilings 🗿
