All his interests, the way he sees the world, his opinions, he shares it all w/ full sincerity. It gets him a ton of backlash & it might hurt him (& others) in the long run, but he never really stops being himself and i find that pretty cute 💙

So what do i got from all this?
Simply put, Equius has no hidden dept
Because he is one of the most transparent characters in the entire comic.

And, of course, Dave can't help himself but walk right into Equius' domination kink like Willy E. Coyote to a painted wall (feat. Equius also projecting his fixation on breaking things)

Its so fascinating how Equius “chose” Dave, deeming him relatable based on characteristics that are extrapolations, having his own interpretation of Dave as a character that isn't 100% aligned with the real Dave (Trolls really are just commentaries on fans lol)

Then the most interesting (and overlooked) aspect of this exchange happens, we get more glances into how Equius projects a bunch of his on insecurities into Dave

Funny thing about how Dave acts all offended but instead of blocking or ignoring the “creep” he keeps engaging with the conversation
But this isn't about him so lets move on

AND THEN Equius go on to drop some Sick Rhymes™ and quickly goes to “Actually, trying to classify you humans is pointless. Lets talk about furry lactation instead” lol Dave meets his match and acts disturbed by it all

we come to the topic of rhymes & Equius downplays his own work, either cus he actually think its not good OR he already knows the Topics he touches on are not that appreciated. Dave still convinces him to share through his Daveisms and of course it feels homoerotic

This whole convo Equius is really honest about his intentions and is very bothered/unaware of Dave's sarcasm in a Very steriotipicaly autistic way
This side of him is more obvious when thinking about his difficulty w/ suspension of disbelief when he tried rp-ing w/ Nepeta for exemple

Instead of doing WHAT HE WAS TOLD and trolling the humans, he genuinely is trying to learn about their culture (even if its mostly to fill his need for social order in the way of hierarchy)

Equius says he interacted w/ the other humans before & didn't appreciate their way of communicating. This making clear this is his first convo w/ Dave cus otherwise he would probably know better lol
