Makes me wonder how all the individual donors who never got access to the White House and who have been absolutely disregarded since Trump took office must feel about their investments.

I know...lots of juicy political gossip and sick burns to talk about.

But how about that bit where Elon openly said that he personally bought the election and is unhappy with the return on his investment?

Removing statues honoring Confederates = erasing history = bad.

Erasing history from schools, government documents, and museums = good.

Moderating misinfo on social media = censorship = bad

Censorship and intimidation of news, colleges, and protesters = good

Something isn't mathing right.

My new Inhuman Genome album is live: "The Labyrinth of the Sleeping Wraith"

The score to my novella of the same name about a writer haunted by nightmares and an elusive wraith. This album morphs between ambient soundscapes, melodic music, and heaviness.

The Transient - Inhuman Genome "The Transient" is the latest full-length album from Inhuman Genome, conceived as a sonic companion to the final chapter of Dane's surreal memoir "Deathbed Revelations."

The new Inhuman Genome album "The Transient" is out now everywhere.

This is an accompaniment to the final chapter of my book Deathbed Revelations and a journey from ethereal soundscapes to crushing intensity.

I lived in Philly/Jersey longer than anywhere I've ever lived, and yet, if I try to say "coffee" like them, I still sound like somebody who's just started learning how to say words. cawwfy...cawwwafy...coowfey...I can't even type it!

For years, I've seen a constant stream of articles saying things like, "The Internet is furious with..." or "The Internet slams..." or "The Internet roasts..." or "The Internet hates this..."

Does anybody have any idea who "The Internet" is and how can reason with this person?

I can think of no good reason for what's happening. Not at this level.

Most brands use automated tools for their social media management, and most of those tools don't yet support Bluesky.

What I'm wondering is how you sell directly. I see you use Shop...and that makes sense for physical books...but ebooks need an e-reader app, and most people use Kindle.

Actually, no need to answer...I'll find out by supporting you and buying one. :)

I loved the first two Street Fighter movies as a kid. They're objectively bad movies with terrible fight choreography, but so much fun to watch. I've been thinking about watching them again.

There are people out there who would gleefully shit in a river upstream from people who drink from that river. Those people got their president today.

Robert Eggers is my favorite modern director, and Nosferatu is my favorite movie in a long time. I need to get out to see it again.

David Lynch is recalling a day in 1981 when, he says, he "rescued" five Woody Woodpecker toys that he saw hanging up as he drove past a petrol station.

"I screech on the brakes, I do a U-turn, go back and I buy them and I save their lives," he says seriously. "I named them Chucko, Buster, Pete, Bob and Dan and they were my boys and they were in my office.
They were my dear friends for a while but certain traits started coming out and they became not so nice."

Looking straight ahead he says with a grim finality: "They are not in my life anymore."

Tonight's watchlist: Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead

I wouldn't be the writer and songwriter I am without those movies.

My daughter made it out of LA last night.

This is climate change. A lot of people on the right are casting blame to avoid taking responsibility. This is their fault, and they refuse to learn any lessons from the consequences.

Agreed. I can handle a little spice, but there's nothing worse than overcooking.
