Was talking about #indiegames with @suddenjeff.bsky.social and one I think about frequently that no one ever talks about is Bloodwash! It captures the deeply unsettling feeling of being a woman alone at night and then becomes something even more terrifying 🤌🏻✨

Welp now I don’t feel so bad about this, going to dive back into Stardew tonight if I can 😌

Instead I just thought I finally really lost my mind fr this time when my meds weren’t working and I had unusually bad brain days. Can we please start making medication that works with menstrual cycles???

Turns out the increased anxiety + difficulties I’ve been experiencing this week (despite taking adderall) is because it doesn’t work when you’re on your period! Wouldn’t it have been so neat if my doctor told me that 🙃

Oof at least someone else understands this pain!! I’ve been feeling so anxious lately taking both doses and dealing with the parts of my day that are unmedicated 🥲 but also damn, does it make me a functioning human

Torn between wanting to take my prescribed dose of adderall so I can get through my whole day or just raw dogging it with coffee the latter half of the day and not dealing with the more noticeable anxiety I’ve been experiencing off of it 🤪

Anyway, all this to say, I’m tying so hard to consistently game again and not get overwhelmed or get #ADHD burnout so maybe this is the kind of game I need to boost my confidence right now so I can go back to my normal games later 🥹 /🧵

Either way, it motivated me to check the Steam page reviews and see that soooo many people have HUNDREDS of hours in this wonderful little game and that made me feel better 😌

Something less “comfy gaming” or less “gamer girl” even though this is the longest I’ve consistently played a game in YEARS. Maybe I am just a “casual” gamer after all - or maybe I just need a fucking break /3

I have been so engrossed in it that I’ve been trying to 100% it (or at least sell all the items, catch all the fish & find all the artifacts). But in the back of my mind I felt this nagging sense that I could be playing something else /2

Been playing a lot of #StardewValley to relax lately. But then I started feeling weirdly anxious about how I’ve already racked up 90+ hours in this current play through /🧵

It is hard to explain to folks who don't struggle with executive dysfunction just how amazing it is to be able to schedule an appointment, make a phone call, or fill out necessary paperwork. These tasks are the bane of my existence and they have such potentially severe repercussions when I can't.
