Oh wait I just caught the part where you said townhouse. Still dumb though.

Wait, do you mean on this block there? Because there isn't even a house fronting Hancock on that block.
I could maybe understand the townhouse folks on the next block north being slightly (though not justifiably) annoyed, but even they have parking on both sides with zero houses across the street.
I realize that the bsky crowd is probably the last group that needs this reminder, but just in case...
HEY VIRGINIANS! Don't forget to go vote today!
Yup! And everyone (except you) has at least a 2 car driveway! Some even have a 3 car driveway.
Though I can tell you your house had the smallest amount of offstreet parking spots on your segment! So if anyone SHOULD be complaining about lack of street parking, it's you.
Yeah, my problem is I'm not recording it anywhere, and I forget it as soon as I perceive it. So my entries would be values like "a bunch."
This is similar to my recent hobby of walking/jogging up and down Braddock Rd at various times of day to count driveways, parked cars, etc.
I probably wouldn't have even known about the Atlantic article. But then I read the lawsuit and thought, "Oh, this thing slaps!"
Nothing brightens my day like watching a robot fall over.
Cohen 4:5
I've heard there was a sacred chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya
It guys like this the fourth the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
I don't know why all my posts and comments recently are attire-related. I guess I'm having a theme week?
Was 25 minutes into this morning's dog walk before I realized I was wearing my reading glasses for the walk, while my prescription sunglasses were sitting on top of my head. Glad to know I'm not going blind after all, but not so glad about the huge number of neighbors who spotted me along the way.
Nothing has made me happier than the moment I realized giant jeans are back. I don't care how ridiculous I look in them; I love them more than anything or anyone else under the sun.
I am very sorry about your misfortune. But also I am laughing very, very hard, so thank you for that.
My recent shipping snafu was an item that appeared as "label created, awaiting item" for forever.. Turns out they dropped the UPS item off at USPS.
I have no idea why it took me so long to think of wearing shorts under. Seems so obvious in retrospect.
But... why???
Young me (an even bigger tomboy than adult me) would have been shocked to learn that in her 40's she'd be very excited for weather warm enough to wear a skirt. But I'd tell her that in the future pants don't fit, skirts have pockets, and you can wear bike shorts underneath. Pants are laaaame.
I forgot to add... we're taking bets on breed makeup (DNA swab taken yesterday, awaiting results.) Prize is... I dunno, bragging rights? We rename the dog after you? One of those two.
This is Flash, our new pupper! He's recently arrived from Ukraine. If you see us around ALX, please stop and say hello!
Ah, I see where we differ. What you call "terrible substance," I call "lifeblood."
Stupid question but isn't that just a mocha?
Congrats Hungary!
GRR!!! And the awful thing is, I bet it will work on tons of people.
Got mine! Haven't read it yet, but I did just click it to help your precious open rate. YOU'RE WELCOME.
Indeed it is. So fucking gross.
Hi, Brooke here. Minority representation is under attack by corrupt Richmond Politicians. Our communities deserve strong representation in Congress, but Richmond’s scheme to draw new rigged districts divides communities of color, leaving us with ZERO Black or Brown majority districts. Vote NO on the politicians’ power grab to rig our maps. Paid for by Justice for Democracy PAC “STOP” to end
WhatTF is this bullshit? God I hate everything.
Switching up the plot of Newsies for Broadway so that the ADULT reporter becomes the new love interest of our CHILD protagonist was a brilliant decision. IYKYN
Yup, I went for yet another walk down Braddock tonight and realized for the first time how much the width actually varies in this short span. Hadn't dawned on my earlier that it gets super narrow at a couple points and even is already missing half parking for a while.
You mean bikes coming down the shareway from Ruffner to Russel would need to get across at Russel? I wonder if making downhill traffic stop at a light Alexandria Ave instead of Russel would allow bikes to cut over with a light at the cannon.
[disclaimer: I'm not pretending to be a traffic engineer.]
My eyeballs are telling me there's enough space, and now I'm going down a rabbithole of looking up standard widths for traffic, parking, and bike lanes. Do you know the width of Braddock? (haven't found it yet.)
I trust the pros who have studied this, just trying to make it make sense in my brain.
