We have a moral responsibility to fight for the protection of our Democracy. I’m proud to stand with Governor Newsom, Congressional Leaders and my Legislative Colleagues to stand up to Donald Trump and his attempt to rig Texas’ electoral maps.

I want to thank Governor Newsom, Speaker Rivas & colleagues in supporting fair redistricting to protect our democracy. This is more than lines on a map, it’s about ensuring every voice counts. The stakes couldn’t be higher: we will defend the Voting Rights Act & protect marginalized communities.

California will not allow Trump to steal our democracy. This morning I stood with state legislators, congressmembers, union leaders, nonprofits & Governor Newsom to defend our democracy. This is not a drill. This ain’t Texas.

Don’t tread on democracy, Texas—unless you want to find out what happens when CA fights back.

As CA leaders came together to defend our democracy, Trump sent ICE to the doorstep of our rally—like a thug trying to silence dissent

It was cruel, cowardly, and an attack on our First Amendment rights!
