As we finesse our workflow over at @tenkin-studios.bsky.social we're moving to launch stand alone platforms integrating AI to offer hyper personalised experiences.
It's brilliant that we can offer truly personalised solutions at affordable prices.
If you see opportunity then I'd love to chat.

Here's some of the exciting things we're building as part of our Portal Pass subscription over at Tenkin Studios.
All to enable Neurodivergent talent to thrive. 🙌
It can be difficult navigating new UI so we've started creating 'How to' videos for each of the apps we're building.
Let us know what we should build next and join the community.
There are moments in life that are real milestone moments and this is one of those for me.
The Tenkin Studios Podcast.
In our very first episode we talk about what inspired us to start Tenkin Studios and why everything we will hopefully go on to do is driven by our community first values
ou can check out Portal Pass and sign up right here: tenkin.co.uk
We're so excited to share what we've been building with you.
We're looking for early adopters to try these apps for free for one month.
Our only ask: Tell us what isn't working and what we can do better.
Help shape our journey! Link to Tenkin Studios is below. Drop a comment if you're in! 👇 8/8
3️⃣ Coach Mate: The ultimate tool for professional coaches to track their own personal development alongside their clients' progress. Featuring a fully integrated CPD log. 7/8
2️⃣ Neuro Flow: A life planner designed for the ND community that breaks tasks into manageable chunks. It features fully integrated voice-note-to-task allocation for when you just need to get something out of your head. 6/8
Our first three apps under Portal Pass:
1️⃣ Med Effects: Track medication usage for you and your loved ones. Monitor side effects and easily export reports to share directly with your healthcare professional. 5/8
The Honest Horizon:
We don't have all the answers. Launching 3 apps at once is tough. There will be bugs to squash and pivots we haven't dreamed of yet.
But we are entering this launch with our eyes open, our minds clear, and our values intact. 4/8
So here's what we're doing differently:
💤 Prioritising rest: A well-rested mind makes better design choices.
🛑 Honouring boundaries: Launch mode means family dinners, not sleeping bags in the office.
🧭 Focusing on the "Why": Does this serve our community’s well-being? 3/8
As we launch our first 3 apps via Portal Pass, we keep asking: If we can’t find peace behind the scenes, how can we hope to build it for you?
Our vision is rooted in well-being. If we sacrificed our own mental health to build this, the foundation would be hollow. 2/8
Rejecting the Startup Hustle at Tenkin Studios 🛑
In tech, launching a product is usually "crunch time"—cold coffee, 3 am monitors, and the badge of burnout. The industry says if you aren't exhausted, you aren't trying.
Simon and I decided there's another way. 🧵 1/8
As we move closer to launching our first three apps, I’ve been reflecting on how well-being needs to be at the core of how we operate if we want to truly deliver that for our Portal Pass community. 🌿

If you want to support ND talent in your own space, check out this resource from BBC CAPE and @thinklab.bsky.social. It’s full of practical, real-world examples:

By leaning on lived experience, we’ve moved the needle on ED&I across the business.
When you give a community a real voice, they don’t just participate—they shape the future. It’s been a massive privilege to help build this.
Post 3/5
The secret to the network’s success? The community.
They showed up to share the good, the bad, the sad, and the funny. We didn't just "manage" a network; we gave people a space to be heard, and then we actually listened.

I’ll be honest, nothing prepared me for how intense it is to build something so deeply personal.
But I needed this journey to fully embrace my own neurodivergence. It wasn’t just a "work project".
It was a way to find where I belonged, too.

Co-founding BBC Enigma—the staff network for neurodivergent talent—is easily the most challenging and rewarding thing I’ve ever done.
It started as a tiny group of ND staff wanting to explore what intersectional neurodivergence looks like in practice. Now? We’re 1,000+ members strong. 🧠✨
Post 3/3:
If you struggle with this, check out the BBC CAPE cognitive toolkit. It gave me a framework to understand what I need to thrive.
Your environment isn't just "decor"—it's an accessibility consideration. 🧠✨

Post 2/3:
Through trial and error, I’ve realised my brain can't just "filter out" background noise like others can.
❌ Bright strip lighting
❌ Open-plan offices
❌ Loud phone calls nearby
To many, these are minor gripes. To me, they are fundamental barriers to doing my best work.
A light on a wall in the reception I talk about in the posts. It casts a soft light. Underneath is a sign saying Jude, which was a global export from Dundee
Post 1/3
We talk about 'productivity hacks,' but rarely about the 'sensory drag' that kills focus before the workday begins.
I’m in Dundee this week for a workshop. Normally, I’d work at a cramped hotel room desk. Today, I found a reception area with soft lighting, comfy chairs, and quiet music.

Neurodivergence isn't always a barrier; it can be a different way of navigating the world that leads to incredible places. 🏴

One of the most moving moments was working with a group of dyslexic pupils who made me an honorary member of their group with a "Change Makers" badge. 🏅
I got quite emotional.
Sometimes the most impactful thing you can do is simply be seen.
5/7
If they see someone from the BBC talking openly about neurodivergence, hopefully they see there’s life beyond the struggles of the classroom.
School can be tough, but there’s a whole world where ND folk are doing brilliant, creative things because of how they think.
4/7
Every time I say it, I watch for heads turning and eyes lighting up. Sometimes I even get a shout-back: “I’m dyslexic too!”
Growing up, I didn’t know any adults who were neurodivergent, and certainly none who spoke about it openly.
I want to change that.

“These packs are brilliant for me, because I find it difficult taking in dense facts in long screeds of text. I’m dyslexic, and I suspect ADHD plays a part in my brain wiring, too.” 🧠✨
2/7 At the start of each workshop, we show the pupils brilliant fact packs created by Liv Simister. They’re colorful, visual, and broken into digestible chunks—perfect for helping us build our scripts.
But I always make a point of saying something specific to the class:
A purple pin badge shaped like a shield. It has the words Change Makers! written on it
1/7 After 4+ years delivering outreach at BBC Scotland, I still feel so lucky to travel the country teaching pupils how to make films and podcasts.
Watching them go from scripting to presenting is a joy—and let’s be honest, it’s got to be better than maths! 🎥🎙️
