If Scotland is a mess then l want more of this supposed mess under the SNP. In fact l want Scottish Independence, free from the chaos of Westminster

I still remember the fecking shit'ole Labour & the Lib Dems left it in. Too frightened to go home in case we were being burgled during the school run

Now isn’t that strange that the Westminster Political Parties are complaining about about refugees in Scotland when the Scottish Government doesn’t have a refugee policy, and is not allowed to have a refugee policy because it is all reserved to 🤔🤔🤔

Apparently, China are building a super embassy on Westminster’s doorstep and I don’t hear the usual suspects complaining about that.

In a proper Union of Independent Countries like the EU, Scotland would be selling it, but alas, the UK has never been a proper democratic Union like the EU.
Are the people of Scotland ever going to wake up and see this theft of our resources?

It hasn’t done much for England or Wales either, only certain parts of England have had huge benefit from the oil.
WM is now doing the same with Scotland’s Renewable Energy. That’s in the process of being cabled down to England and Scotland is about to lose another fortune because of it.

As I keep saying, “oil was discovered off the shores of Scotland in the early 1960s, then a country living inside the M25 became exceedingly rich”.

SP26: The SNP didn’t “break” the voting system in 2011… but this time they might The idea that the SNP “broke” the Scottish Parliament voting system in 2011 is a myth that won’t die, but it might finally come to pass in 2026.

Lunchtime read: The SNP didn’t “break” the voting system in 2011… but this time they might

With the election looming, I'm going to re-share some of the BBS analysis up until now. First up: why didn't the SNP's 2011 majority constitute "breaking" the system, and why might even minority do so now?

The reason for my point was that if they get a majority, they could maybe refuse to take the oath at WM, then walk out of the Parliament, return to Scotland, and then hold our own referendum for Independence with UN observation.

I believe that the majority for Independence should come at the UK general election because the Scottish Government actually sits in WM. We’ve done it in the past but didn’t use our majority. Now is the time get it and use it.

Is this not actually illegal?

Sadly, I think that is the direction we’re going in. I hope I’m wrong. Some of the younger generations don’t help themselves by blindly following the MSN leading them down the road of Turkeys Waiting For Xmas.
Everybody grows old if they live long enough, they should remember that.

The Iran war is making everything more expensive for us, but some companies are cashing in. Don't think that's right? Sign the petition now demanding they are taxed more on their record profits to help us all with the cost of living. you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/ra...

Exactly Dorothy, so why does the MSM keep attacking pensioners. That yearly rise and mine at 400 and odd pounds is a pitance.

What I’m saying is, the richer you are, the more tax you will be paying on your works pension which swallows up your State Pension so technically speaking you are handing back part or all of your State Pension back to the treasury in tax. I’m not rich but I’m happy to pay the tax.

That includes my wife and myself, see where you are coming from now. Another I can’t understand, it says you need 33 years to qualify for the state pension. I was paying in for 46 years, why doesn’t these extra years count.

Which pensioners don’t?

2 weeks ago 0 0 3 0

Exactly, but even the super rich, although they probably get the state pension will pay it all back in tax. One cancels out the other.

I have a small work’s pension and this year I’ll be paying almost £3000 back in tax and happy to do so. That cancels out almost £3000 of my state pension. Richer people will be handing all of their state pensions back in tax.
The papers don’t mention that bit when they complain about rich pensioners

Pensioner’s just received an increase of just over £400 per year and a lot of people are not happy according to news reports. A lot of people earn that in a single week.
Some say richer people should not receive the basic state pension. Why, the richer people pay it right back in tax.

The way to achieve Independence would be done better if we get a huge majority in the next General Election because the Scottish Government actually sits in the House of Commons.

I’m saying that as a compliment to her and a kick at Labour in the same compliment.
I always wanted to see an Independent Scottish Labour Party that would’ve eventually really backed Scottish Independence.
