If you meant more protocol changes, we typically use the Thermo Microbiome kit, but elute in 70uL instead of 110uL. Right now for 16S we sequence on MiSeq i100.

We have previously used www.vwr.com/us/en/produc... for many samples. We have a collaborator that successfully used these for low biomass frog skin samples: www.fishersci.com/shop/product.... Hope that helps!

Dog ownership in adolescents was associated with fewer social problems and altered gut microbiota. Notably, a Streptococcus ASV correlated with sociability in both adolescents and ex-germ-free mice.

Born #OnThisDay in 1922, Esther Lederberg was the first to isolate the lambda phage in 1951. She characterised the lysogenic phase, whereby the phage are able to integrate into the bacterial genome, staying dormant. This discovery made them a model tool of study, leading to many more breakthroughs.
