You would have been one of those claiming Smartphones would not exceed 35% market penetration back in 2008. There was plenty of data to validate that thinking back then, so I get it. I bet against that thinking, smartphones surged to greater than 80% in 9yrs. This was the point of my original post.

Not ignoring demographics. In 9 yrs more cars will be purchased by people raised with electric cars as the norm, not exception. How you can ignore trends & think so many would still want exploding gasoline propelling their cars, especially in light of rapidly increasing climate disasters.

The prediction was about new car sales. The people who decide to not buy or upgrade a car don't factor in. And wind solutions are usually implemented in places with a fairly consistent wind pattern.

I've helped create big tech cycles, there are parallels. Smartphones worked like mobile phones but better, simple adoption if you already used a mobile. Electric cars are just like cars but better, no learning curve. 20/25% of new cars in Europe & China are EVs, it's ramping.

This reminds me of what people said about Smartphones in 2010, they were wrong also.

Neighborhood Red-tailed Hawks as seen from the roof deck. There are three eyases (baby hawks) and the mom & dad. There is also dead rodent in there they are picking apart and at time being fed to the little ones by mom.
