While Innocent Until Caught is a hot mess of a game, I thought I would focus on the two things that are actually good 😁

The main character from Innocent Until Caught with badly drawn googly eyes, a dribbling tongue, and an arrow stuck through the forehead. Text reads, "Pisshead" with an arrow pointing toward the character.
I am nothing if not inconsistent. Fuck it. Let's finish this garbage.

One of my favorite YouTube creators is called Up Is Not Jump. 😆
At least that I could understand, back when mouselook wasn't a thing. But I've never played a 90s FPS where Ctrl was suddenly strafe and Alt was Use, or some shit like that. Some conventions exist for a reason!
Why are Minecraft's default keybinds so fucked up? Since when is Shift = crouch and Ctrl = run? Is this the mirror universe?
Saturday. Let's shoot for Saturday.
I loved the em dash so much that I memorized the alt code for it as a teenager: Alt+0151. This was back when all we had was WordPad that didn't auto-replace stuff like two dashes or curly quotes.
The em dash rules. AI can't ruin it. It can, however, get fucked.
No joke, you can actually do "reruns" on Twitch. There's a checkbox in their dashboard that says you have to disclose if your stream is a rerun. I have no idea why that feature exists.
A mock propaganda poster of me looking determined with my fist on my heart against a sunburst background. A large caption reads, "The livestreams will continue until morale improves."
No stream today or tomorrow, I'm afraid. But I should be back on my bullshit with Innocent Until Caught's bullshit on Friday, if all goes well. I still refuse to keep a "stream schedule" 'cos I know it'll end up stressing me out. But... 👇
Trollface
Difference is The Strokes sucked.
I'm only halfway through it but I can already tell I'm not going to have many favorable things to say about it in my retrospective video. The graphics are decent but the UI, puzzle design, and constant pixel hunting is terrible.
I saw someone recently moaning about why these lads with the long noses, Angine de Poitrine, have been blowing up so massively lately because "they're not doing anything new." This Short pretty well sums it up, I think.
A bad MS Paint edit of Jack T. Ladd from the Innocent Until Caught box cover. Two googly eyes have been drawn on him with the pupils facing the other direction. Text (in poor lettering) reads, "INNØCÆNT UNTÆL PÖÖP LOL FU" with an arrow pointing towards Jack.
The good news is we got digital sound effects working in Innocent Until Caught! The bad news is... well... you'll never guess.

The front cover of Innocent Until Caught featuring a badly drawn shifty-eyed dude looking shifty.
The livestreams will continue until morale improves! Going live now with Innocent Until Caught, a game that seems to very much wish it was Space Quest but quite clearly isn't.

Side note, the latest Tex Murphy novel (The Steakhouse Stakeout) is a CYOA book.
Point and click games are the vinyl of the game world, THE REVIVAL WILL NEVER END

I've been called many names by point and click games, but never I was accused of having "troubled organs"

She’s quoted in this article. This is a real issue for artist and creators across every platform!
There is an update on the situation on her Facebook page where she says the predatory publisher withdrew their claims. I cannot see the details because I don't use Facebook or Instagram anymore.
Tell me again how AI is making things better for all of us.
Well, this time they didn't release it. And if I appeal again and they still think they should get the money instead of me, they'll not only get it, but I'll be slapped with a channel strike as well. Because YouTube is so awesome.
Oh, so they're copyright trolls as well?
An email from YouTube saying that my appeal against the copyright claim on my video has been reviewed by the claimant and they have decided they'd rather take my money than respect Fair Use.
A scene from the game where a large stalk of menacing corn and three scarecrows intimidate you on a dance floor.
A warning to anyone who still wants to play/stream Maize: The stock music they used for the dance scene will get you copyright flagged. I guess that whole 3 hour playthrough video I did, of which their music is played for less than 2 minutes, was all for them.
Fix your shit, YouTube.
A true innovation would be the addition of microtransactions. Imagine having to pay to skip the infuriating logic puzzles and minigames! It's GENIUS!
I mean, by THAT point, time had run out for the IIGS. But back in the day... man.
Once they switched to SCI, it was over for the IIGS. But most (if not all?) of their AGI games are on the IIGS and they are AMAZING. Even the AGI version of KQ4!
It was like looking over your fence and seeing that your neighbor has installed a hot tub, an outdoor barbeque, and hired a personal chef.
But consider the trade-off: The Sierra games on the IIGS were the absolute Deluxe Versions. PC owners got 16 colors and internal speaker music. IIGS players got enhanced graphics, 15 channel stereo music, and digital sound effects.
