I met cosplayers I ended up working with at libraries. I was casted in a short film from working at a library event. I've hosted art workshops and I've witnessed people exploring their creativity in new ways at libraries. They are sacred spaces. They are temples. They are priceless safe havens.

I can't tell you all how many rad experiences I've had at libraries. I've seen people walk in with stories about how the town used to look that transported me completely. I've seen kids who barely talk thank librarians for all that they do. I've met artists, authors, photographers at libraries.

Yours truly will be mending books at a couple of local libraries this week as usual!
