I can move around, which is a positive.

Definitely very sore. Haven't felt like this in a long time.

Glasswing et al present a moral hazard to bug bounties.

What I've seen recently is a significant increase in AI generated, or assisted vulnerability reports that are not vulnerabilities.

one idea I've been tempted to try is "AppView just for self-hosted PDSs" or even "AppView just for PDSs of folks I follow", which I suspect would be a much smaller amount of network bandwidth

Raked the long jump pit for an hour straight.

⚠️ An active phishing attack is targeting crate owners by asking them to "confirm that your email address is still active". These messages are not from crates.io, and should be ignored. (We will never ask you to confirm that your e-mail address is still active.) ⚠️

Nah, they're different things.

subscribeRepos is the XRPC websockets endpoint that the PDS sends repo changes out of ("here's my new post"). Relays (and other folks) consume that. Those changes eventually make their way to the AppView(s), which is a "materialized view" of the entire network.

Conceptually, a repo appears fairly "static" (and I've seen folks make attempts at implementing it that way), but I eventually discovered that the PDS participates in a lot of stuff.

For example: many calls from the web app get proxied through the user's PDS. And yeah the subscribeRepos endpoint.

I’ve seen folks describe recent successes with tranquil and cocoon. Cirrus too, if you don’t mind serverless.

I’m partial to my own implementations, but they’re not (yet) packaged up for others to easily use.
