In this photo, Prince isn’t looking up at the buildings, just down at the steps right in front of him. He had become, by that time, the greatest, most complete pop star ever. (This photo is from another stop on that tour, but it gives you the vibe.) At one point, he asked where everyone was from. Then he told us he’d first visited New York while staying with his sister who lived in Rahway, NJ. He said sort of wistfully, “That’s as close as I ever got to the city.”

Please don't get mad. But that's a high energy breed. They can get pretty rowdy when not given enough exercise. It's a risk to put an elderly lady in charge of a dog she can't control because of its sheer strength. My only hope is you are at least walking it for her during the week.

I think this is one of the best things you could do for your grandma. A built in bestie for conversation and meal time company, a snuggle buddy when needed, and a great reason to take some walks every day.

I worried about my Grandma being alone after Grandpa died and got her a rescue dog. She named him Buddy, which was my Grandfather’s nickname when he was a kid. They seem to be getting along pretty well…

Dear White House Reporters: Again, WTF? Dinner with this president, really?

Former White House newsman @ronfournier.bsky.social is saddened that “dozens of [current reporters] and your corporate bosses are planning to honor Trump with his presence Saturday at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner celebrating freedom of the press."

He adds: "I don’t get it."

A group of journalists, led by Dan Rather & Sam Donaldson, are asking the White House correspondents to use the annual dinner for something other than taking selfies & 'putting aside differences'. They're asking for a clarion call for freedom of the press and to list Trump's many attacks on freedom.
