Further you go you’ll need to parry to do the damage. Parry window much easier on story difficulty. I also have always been very bad at parrying in games.

Can you believe this is on my prob top 5 or 10 game of all time. Great RPG, unique combat, and awesome/moving story. I had to drop difficulty to story since this old man can’t hit the parry window 🤣
