would like to have a wee little word with all the people who said everyone was overreacting to the california OS age signal legislation
yeah same
it feels like it could be potentially pretty fun
we will see tho
we haven't been this back since Shibou Yuugi ended

it's peak
misogyny does that
oh yeah his early games have online web versions made by fans
www.asenheim.org/desire/
which is neat
... that's how i played the first one so i could do that here but since its longer i kind of want to play it on my comp lol
nice
i need to get to more of that writer's games
i plan to do eve burst error series eventually
but the first game in the setting was p bad (vndb.org/v740) and the 2nd game wouldn't run for me fsr (vndb.org/v151) so i fell off it
will go back eventually...
oh yeah I'm thinking about playing koihime and be-yond this year sometime
the 'final' utawarerumono game is releasing in 2 months
so I gotta play the last one and catch up but those feel like good games to play as well
this has nothing to do what you were saying but i just remembered it lol
www.youtube.com/watch?v=CG7B... btw i did write a review on it but this is a fast paced and well written dark fantasy eroge I'd recommend as well
The character designs are a bit questionable but the actual plot is quite fucked up
it's a great game i played last year
reminds me of EDGE's chapter titles

www.youtube.com/watch?v=IswA... Mikage's newest game got announced recently as well
which seems to be a spy romance?
I heard he said that he was cooking for his new game so I'm excited to see what this ends up being
I haven't read it yet but apparently Kunado Kokuki is in the same setting as Amatsutsumi/Aoi Tori but set in the far future in a post-apo setting which is really interesting to me (Amatsutsumi/Aoi Tori are like modern settings with low key supernatural stuff in them)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPuj...
i didn't but it's neat
I like Mikage a lot
I would highly recommend Amatsutsumi
www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3XX...
since it's his most well regarded work and my favorite
Aoi Tori is also neat (and written as a thematic parallel to Amatsutsumi)

wrote about my feelings on gacha I've played this year so far
major spoilers all around but
LETS GO
yeah that sounds like a good idea
I started reading Lessons in Love, the infamously long english vn
and I'm coming at it from a similar angle where I will take a break after each chapter (since they are all the length of a very long visual novel) to do some other stuff before jumping back
don't get me wrong
finishing part 2 is BIG
it was going on since 2018
but for multiple years now it has felt like its dragging its feet and doing whatever it can to justify it's continued lifespan
no other gacha I've played has felt this bad to me in this respect
It's a very fucked up setting where the girls are all basically people turned into weapons and are 'made/owned' by 3 different megacorps that bc they hold the means of production of nikke more or less hold major sway in a last bastion of humanity, an underground shelter called Ark
but yeah i get it
then started a new part right after
it's annoying especially considering the end of part 2 was very 'final'
starting a new arc just feels like it spit on the very message of the game
but to my understanding it is heavily implied to end this arc in a year so maybe it will actually fully end then
I'm actually planning on attempting OwaKuro sometime hopefully later this year... I'm doing more light novels recently (most the way through Shibou Yuugi) so I'm hoping I can work through some series
FGO's story sadly isn't over
it finished part 2 which is def a major one

oh Frog
I'm writing a post about gacha I've been playing this year
Nikke is a really solid post-apo sci-fi gacha with that's p cyberpunk with transhumanism and heavy anti-capitalist themes
the writers are apparently v inspired by SRWs
www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-H7...
still haven't gotten around to finishing the newest game (got burnt out at the time)
but it does feel like it is approaching an ending
(i feel the 'final entry' means the final arc but even with that I'm glad they are being transparent and got a timeline for the rest)
i see people so pissed off about the newest chapter
i have gotta read part 2
In the celebration of Nihon Falcom"s 45th anniversary, I can' recommended enough to watch this great video about the history of Falcom by @bowloflentils.bsky.social
Very instructive 🤓😎
