I know 20*5=100, 18 is 2 less than 20 so I take away 2*5 which is 10. The answer is 90
What if mathematics could grow wild again?
Rewilding Mathematics
joymath.me/blog/rewildi...
I've been deleting social media apps and seeking out the connections I do want to have. A constant deluge of info= overwhelm and shutdown for me. Reduce the nose & hear the signal. I'd prefer a monthly digest to read, think and take meaningful action in one sitting. I just can't daily, you know?
What if clarity doesn’t come from trying harder?

Book cover
Look what arrived in the mail! Five years ago, I got a call from @profnoahgian.bsky.social to discuss my experiences writing a book for the general public. Since then, he’s written TWO… this one out today, and he was just recognized with JPBM award for mathematics communication. Congrats, Noah!
Agree!
Why Equity Efforts Stall
Equity is not about rescuing people from a rigorous system.
It is about designing a rigorous system that does not require rescue.

You Are The Algorithm is live!
A Companion essay is coming next, responding directly to President Trump's recent AI executive order
I am placing systems literacy in a longer civic conversation shaped by thinkers like Terry Vatter, Lynn Steen, and Francis Su.
You Are The Algorithm asks where agency still lives inside systems designed to steer us.
Through behavior loops, algorithmic swarms and Jiu Jitsu, it traces how individual power reappears when we learn to see, and interrupt, the patterns shaping our lives.

Every app you use is learning your behavior.
Every habit you repeat is shaping the systems that shape us.
My upcoming essay explores behavior loops, AI swarms, and how ordinary people can reclaim agency in a world optimized for profit rather than clarity.
You Are the Algorithm

What if algebra itself is an art of repair? From bone-setting to Japanese kintsugi, algebra reveals itself as a way to restore balance to our world both gently and as an act of rebellion.
