We need public investments and economic policies that support economic opportunity and address the problematic inequities failing AANHPI women every day:
That gap represents real women, real families, and real consequences. It means fewer resources to pay rent, put food on the table, and build savings for the future.
Today is #AANHPIEqualPay Day where we recognize the wage gap between Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women and white non-Hispanic men. According to NAPAWF, AANHPI women are paid about 83¢ to every $1.
We’ve sent this compact to schools across the country to encourage them to fight for their students, their employees, and for our democracy.
If you’re a student or an alumni member of a college or university—or you just know a school that should sign on—learn more below.
This pro-freedom & equity compact comes in response to ongoing attacks from the Trump administration on constitutional & civil rights protections, and pressures to eliminate diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility programs.
BREAKING: Today, along with @lawyerscomm.bsky.social , @legaldefensefund.bsky.social & Advocates for Youth, we're calling on colleges nationwide to publicly reaffirm their commitments to opportunity, inclusion & academic freedom by supporting the Foundational Values for Higher Education compact.

President Trump just arrived at the Supreme Court to attend arguments in our challenge of his attempt to upend birthright citizenship, the first recorded sitting president to attend oral arguments.
Good. We hope he learns something about the Constitution he continually tries to violate.

“I never thought that so close to the end of my pregnancy that I would have to be even thinking about ... the executive order and how it would have impacted my baby.”
We're headed to the Supreme Court on April 1 to defend the right to birthright citizenship for families for generations to come.
Blatant racism and misogyny. This administration's attacks on "DEI" have always been about one thing: Their belief that only white men deserve power.

“The people who serve this country are willing to sacrifice everything for us. The least we can do is ensure they have access to the full spectrum of health care they need — including reproductive care.” — Vet Voice CEO Janessa Goldbeck and The Brigid Alliance ED Serra Sippel
This will only continue to get worse unless Congress acts.
Tell them to fix health care costs for families now and restore enhanced premium tax credits for ACA plans: act.nwlc.org/a/aca?ms=Soc...
Even for those that didn't lose insurance, many switched to ACA plans that covered less, or enrolled in plans where their monthly premiums have more than doubled.
What's the impact for women? Difficult choices between paying for food, gas, medication, or cutting back on other household expenses.
At the beginning of this year, Congress allowed the ACA enhanced premium tax credits to expire—leaving millions of Americans with skyrocketing monthly premiums.
Nearly 5 million people are expected to be uninsured this year as a result of this inaction, increasing the uninsured population by 21%.
Yesterday was the 16th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, legislation that enabled tens of millions of women to enroll in health insurance—many for the first time.
But now, thanks to inaction by Congress to keep the ACA affordable & their cruel cuts to Medicaid, millions are losing coverage.
Markwayne Mullin was confirmed as DHS secretary last night—but someone new in charge of DHS won't change the policies that have enabled the terror and murderous campaign of ICE & Border Patrol.
We must keep up the pressure. Tell Congress to reject additional funding for DHS:
This comes as the VA has recently implemented a near-total ban on abortion care—showing that veterans who are already struggling to access essential health care are also facing potential prosecution for pregnancy loss.

Congress cannot continue to fund acts of lawless fascism. Tell your lawmaker to reject additional funding for DHS: act.nwlc.org/a/ice-fundin...
As Senator Markwayne Mullin begins his confirmation hearing today, it is clear that Trump has simply swapped one unfit and unqualified nominee for another.
A leadership change at DHS doesn’t change the policies that have led to the terror and murderous campaign of ICE and Border Patrol.
BREAKING: Anna St. John—who has spent her career fighting to undermine consumer protections, silence survivors of sexual harassment & assault, and strip away protections for LGBTQIA+ people—was just confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Thank to @msmagazine.com for uplifting Alex, Lauren, and Heather's reproductive health care stories to underscore why we need Congress to reverse the Trump administration's dystopian VA abortion ban.
