I ended up at a house party in Waterford at about 2am once after the closing performance of a play. The house belonged to someone in the theatre group. They were handing out mugs of tea and bacon and sausages. It was the best party Iâve ever been to. The Irish are unbeatable.

"Democratizing access": the ultimate doublespeak for #tech billionaires pillaging art, literature, human brillianceâfeeding their AI for free, owning the returns.
Danish writer Janne Teller's reply? Fine. If our knowledge belongs to everyone, then #AI platforms should belong to us. Nationalize them.

Had to do an iHasco âAI in the workplaceâ online course, consisting of reading a dozen slides. All extremely biased towards AI. Not a single mention that AIs can be modelled on stolen/poor data, nor on the environmental impact of its use. Plus youâre told to monitor all outputs. Why bother then?
