I get it, and I will look deeper into it, but I also think part of their reason is that they cannot tax it. E.g. we lost a dead ash in a storm. It fell in our garden and needed removing. Should we burn it?
It really is, and the move towards banning woodburners is also because they can't tax the revenue, especially if you source your own wood.
Same here in Wales. I often wonder why they've failed to utilize wind and wave power as much as they could have. As for the science and tech behind this, I'm clueless, but it seems the obvious answer. Could it be because they'd lose tax revenue?
