The dream, really. I can so easily see it on the big screen, but wordless dinosaur films haven’t been treated well by Hollywood. Still. Stranger things have happened.

And of course the Tyrant Lizard Queen will get her big release later this year, because I work that damn fast. Rawr. 🦖
If you’ve been wanting a paperback copy of When the Earth Was Green to throw in your pack, take on a hike, get some sand or leaves between, it’s coming out May 5th! 🌱
I’ve been trying to tell myself “Just write it down, see where it goes.” When I feel stuck, it’s easy to avoid and not come back until I have the answer. But the solution is usually to sit with the page and ask “What comes next?”, write along the thread leading from the last scene. Just get in it.
I can come up with ideas all day. I’ve collected so many that they all whine and jostle to be next. Inspiration is not the problem. It’s finishing. It’s manifesting them on the page and telling myself my best is going to have to do.
ALIEN rules. Doesn’t matter the order, just take them one by one.
Story one, done.
Story two, to finish today.
Story three’s half cooked, to finish tomorrow.
Story four, getting ready. That bug armor’s going to be cool.
Book ?, two stanzas isn’t much but it’s just getting to the first chomp.
It feels good to be hitting the flow, moreso forcing myself to finish.
Yup! Search Walking With Dinosaurs 2025 and it’ll come up.
In case you missed it, I had some rather glowing things to say about Mouse.
It’s on PBS, via subscription, for a few months yet! Though I just bought the season on YouTube since I’ll be doing them all.
I sent a short synth tune to Splash. Just something simple. No more than ten seconds. “Starry sky on a snowy night,” they said. Exactly. Maybe we can’t touch it through the notes, but we can catch the scent of the memory.
My favorite songs to play are the ones no one else will ever hear and I won’t remember. The tunes I can share through a split in the earbuds and see her smile before they’re gone.
There is! Out last year, six episodes. So far, I like it better than the original.
a patch/sticker design depicting a jackalope mask and blood spatter surrounded by the text "NEVER DIE SAD / ALIVE UNTIL THEY KILL US / PISSED UNTIL WE'RE FREE"
you don't get to tap out
because this is not a game
photo of my finished drawing of Sue the T. rex on a table at the airport. They had surprisingly good chili cheese fries there, which as we all know are the ultimate in art fuel. I kinda fucked up the placement on the page, this was much harder to draw than expected. I kept getting sweaty too which I only realized the next day when I woke up with a fever was probably me actually being sick and not knowing it. I should go back and draw this again when I am not sick and do a better job!!!
I was drawing in the museum until they closed(thats why it looks empty above) so I had to finish it up at the airport. I've wanted to see Sue in person since I was a kid so this was a dream come true.

flamingo skeletons with weird necks, displayed with random texts, how do you format a page, i'm sure nobody knows & everybody just pretend they can

Goo morning, monsters.
Where is the line between novel
and monstrous?
The world has been desperate for change,
aching for something new.
Now you’re here.
When you tear the brittle façades away,
what might grow from the fresh,
waiting,
beneath?
I feel this way about ALIENS. I know I could do something killer, but probably not while the IP is owned by Disney.

The first panel shows a crow with the title "How to live a good life". The second panel shows a crow cawing at itself in the mirror with the subheading "Make friends". The next panel says "Explore" and shows a crow looking into a commercial waste bin. The next says "Try new things" with a crow eating something vile. The next one says "Be curious" and shows the crow grabbing a hissing cat's tail". The final frame says "Get a hobby" and shows the crow looking closely at a book of matches.

I hate to remove my collar, but I love how warm it feels.

A sketchy comic. Emma wears a ball cap that reads “LESBIAN.” She says, “honestly, it doesn’t always fit the best, but it has SO MUCH sentimental value…” She scowls, her teeth and fingers looking sharper than before, “and I will BITE anyone who tries to take it off me.”
a quick comic about “lesbian”
A picture of an embroidered pterosaur, it's not of a specific species. I made this little guy when I was learning more modern dino anatomy, the front legs off (the joints are supposed to be backwards), making the little guy standing more like a dog than a real ptero whoops
I retook a picture of one of my old works.
Here's a pterosaur, it has some anatomical mistakes, but I still like it

This week in I Want My DinoTV, the new Walking With Dinosaurs!
I really liked it, and it fulfilled a wish I had when I saw the original a quarter century 🙀 ago.
They remind me of the fish crows I see around here, an excellent speculative friend.
Silly green megaraptoran-inspired creature
Comfort drawing of a silly made-up theropod-critter
A drawing of the artist walking around with a silly smile, while a carabiner holding keys, connected to her pants, is making loud CLINK CLANK CLONK sound. Above her is a thought bubble with a robot bearing the caption "Lesbotron 3000", also making loud CLINK CLANK CLONK sounds.
