There's a reddit forum I forget the name of but it's people who have hacked their way into getting a 40 hour/week salary from a couple minutes of actual work a day. Invariably they've all made really good spreadsheets. 😁

One thing you will never think after reading a great book or listening to a great album or seeing a great piece of art is, “I’m really glad this person remained cautious while they were making this and guarded against being perceived as weird.”

I despise with the heat of a thousand suns the way I have to be suspicious of all art I see now while I investigate it's authenticity, because this couldn't be more diametrically opposed to the state of mind one should be in while taking in all art.

I wish I had the confidence of the 5-year-old who just walked up to me in a hospital hallway and said, “Bad news mister, my mother is lost.”

Once as I was leaving work a co-worker said they were trying to install Windows but it kept crashing a few minutes in. I threw out a few suggestions including check if the CPU fan is running. The next morning as I walked into work they ran up to me and yelled HOW DID YOU KNOW? 😂

It always bugged me they named him Grimace when he doesn't have a grimace. THIS is a proper grimace! 💜

Oh wow! I haven't been to St. John's for several years. The Catherdral's Gothic architecture is something to be seen.

There's no time to rest--as soon as one round of feeding is finished, the parent heads right back out to get more.

A family of Ravens is putting the goth back in gothic at NYC's largest cathedral--St John the Divine. There are five mouths to feed, so the parents are staying busy! ⛪️⛪️⛪️ #Ravens #Cathedral #birding

That is very polite if you ask me.

can't be overstated how much this is because in the UK they actually buy small cars & so carmakers are willing to sell them whereas in the U.S. all anyone wants are "crossover" SUVs that are actually just SUVs

We Need to Prepare for the Mammoth Task of De-Trumpification The damage he and his cronies have wrought could take decades to repair, particularly when it comes to science and public health.

The task of de-Trumpification of science and public health will take a generation and a "Marshall Plan" to rebuild. Without a bold, expansive vision to guide us, there is no coming back. Small-bore, poll-tested versions of the future will not help us. www.thenation.com/article/soci...

This rather creepy photo is Artemis II’s heat shield underwater, as taken by the U.S. Navy. This is the first photo we have of the heat shield, and upon initial examination it doesn’t seem to have the char loss that Artemis I’s had.

It bears repeating that historically, the #1 thing that keeps people alive in hard times and disasters is “the ability to play well with others”

The Columbine massacre was on this date in 1999. Instead of energizing our country to get gun violence under control, it kicked off a new normal. One of the best explanations ever of journalism's destructive impact on mass shootings came from Roger Ebert in his review of Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant.”

Still annoyed that my preferred grocery chain advertised the same thing when everybody else was moving to loyalty cards, then a year or two later, guess what? 😡

A very small child holding an owl above her head with one arm. The owl is nearly as large as her entire body, but it is clearly not very heavy.

Birds are mostly air, as this small child demonstrates.
